In the vibrant and unpredictable world of blockchain gaming and digital collectibles, there’s a growing subculture of creators making waves by blending AI, pixel art, and NFTs infused with real value. One such creator is Strope — a degenerate, visionary (his words), and pixel-perfectionist building entire worlds of legacy-infused collections using AI tools and the Enjin blockchain ecosystem. I have had the pleasure of being sitting around (don’t need to travel to communicate these days) for a live chat with Strope to learn more about his process, motivations, and where the StropeVerse is headed. Along the way, we touched on AI art, ENJ-infused NFTs, free mints on NFT.io, the role of legacy collections, and much more.

🎙️ Interview with Strope: Creator of the StropeVerse

Meltoid: First off — I have to say, your pixel art collection looks awesome. How long have you been working on it?

Strope: Thanks! I’ve been building it out for about 8 to 9 months. I’ve got a pixel collection with 150 pieces right now, all AI-generated using DALL·E and other tools. But I’ve made several thousand images in that time — only post the best ones. A lot of trial and error, refining the prompts to get the right results.

Meltoid: So you’re fully open about using AI to build your art?

Strope: Yeah, I don’t hide it. The tools are just part of the process — the creativity is still mine. I believe AI-assisted art isn’t lesser art, it’s just a new form. Make it now, make it better later.

Meltoid: And the collection is ENJ-infused, right? That’s something I find super interesting — talk to me about that.

Strope: Absolutely! Each NFT in the collection is infused with Enjin Coin (ENJ), which gives it real utility and value. The Pixel collection already has more ENJ infused than it earned back — and I’m planning to infuse another 2,000 ENJ soon. It’s about building more than just visuals; I want these pieces to be part of a fully functional ecosystem.

Meltoid: Are you planning to expand beyond pixels?

Strope: Definitely. I’ve got three collections I’m working toward as part of my “end game” vision:

Pixels — these will receive weekly ENJ infusions.
NFPixels — where I drop ENJ-infused NFTs weekly.
Chainspirits — fully new drops released with a fixed amount of ENJ already infused

And in the long term? If the funds come through, I want to have all of these redrawn by an actual artist — while keeping the AI originals as legacy collectibles.

Meltoid: What about utility beyond collection and ownership — any use case plans?

Strope: Yeah, I’d love to 3D model the entire collection and make them usable in games or metaverse experiences someday. I’ve got big ideas! Just taking it step by step. Blockchain gaming gives us the pieces to build something greater than just static NFTs.

Meltoid: I noticed some free NFT listings on NFT.io — can you explain how people find or get those?

Strope: Sure. Free drops with no restrictive rules usually get featured directly on NFT.io — you just have to keep an eye out. There’s no official drop schedule, but a few creators and devs regularly do them. I’d recommend following their socials or being active in the Enjin community to catch them.

Meltoid: Why do projects even offer free NFTs?

Strope: Simple — to market, build community, and share. It’s about exposure but also expression. That said, creating and sending free NFTs via Beam (Enjin’s transfer tech) still costs beam credits, so technically it’s not entirely “free” for the creator. But for collectors, it’s a low-barrier entry into Web3.

Meltoid: Why should someone collect free NFTs then — besides the fact that they’re not free for the creators tbh yeah?

Strope: Good question. Well, three reasons:

You just enjoy collecting cool stuff.
Some NFTs have planned utility — like gamification, staking, or evolve mechanics.
They’re truly yours. That’s the power of Web3. No middlemen. You own it, you trade it, you use it.

Meltoid: I love collecting cool stuff! What’s your take on security with the Enjin Wallet?

Strope: It’s rock solid. Enjin has always delivered on fundamentals. Witek [Radomski, Enjin’s CTO] has even hinted at future open source capabilities for the wallet, which adds another layer of transparency. I feel totally safe using it.

🏛️ Blockchain Legacy and Building History

Meltoid: Witek is bae…Circling back to the art — are you inspired by collections from the OG days of NFTs?

Strope: Absolutely. I try to collect as many legacy NFTs and tokens as I can. Anything from those early days — to me, they’re going to become digital artifacts in 5, 10, even 50 years. Some of them might look primitive now, but they tell the story of the beginning. That has huge historical value.

Meltoid: You mentioned you’re a true degen who lives on his phone. How do you deal with the crypto market volatility? It’s 2024 and it’s still wild out there…btw this article do3snt have the list of all Enjin Crypto Games. Just an image I found lol and I am sure you don’t live on your phone, who is AI? Who is?

Strope: It is — but I follow my own rule: I’m giving this a 10-year attempt. No matter what FUD or dips hit. I’m in it for the long run, building while others panic. Compared to traditional markets — where you wait 35–40 years for returns — blockchain feels faster-paced. But I stay grounded.

Meltoid: Sounds like you think long-term. A lot of people forget that mindset. We have existed since stardust but seriously, how much has been hidden since then?

Strope: Exactly. If you’re just here for the next hype cycle or flip, you’ll burn out fast. But if you build something real, something people enjoy and connect with, then you’re making history — even if it looks like pixels and code to the outside world.

As we wrapped up our chat, I couldn’t help but admire Strope’s blend of technical know-how, community awareness, and raw creativity.
