Spectarium launches Myths in early access
Spectarium has moved its title, Myths, into early access soft launch, giving Android users in the Philippines the first chance to play. Android users in other regions and global iOS players can register for closed testing, with access gradually rolled out.
The initial weeks are focused on performance and technical testing. Spectarium acknowledges that the tutorial is incomplete, active updates will occur continuously, and server outages may be common. The studio emphasizes community collaboration over a polished release.
Gameplay mechanics and personalization
Myths offers a mobile-first action RPG experience centered on four-player cooperative play. The game allows players to explore various mythologies, with environments tailored by AI technology based on individual preferences.
Central to gameplay are boss encounters, where players earn equipment and character upgrades directly through in-game victories. Players who defeat new legendary bosses can upgrade and share them with the wider community, linking personal achievement to shared content.
Integration with Mythical Marketplace
Myths is the first externally developed title to integrate the Mythical Marketplace, confirmed as its platform partner in November 2025. The marketplace enables peer-to-peer gear trading, similar to other titles like NFL Rivals.
Spectarium’s decision to integrate this feature came after thorough discussions about player economies. The studio initially hesitated to implement web3 ownership but aligned its design approach with Mythical Games to ensure a gameplay-first focus.
A strong foundation
Founded in 2019 by Romain Schneider, Mark Peterson, and Plarium co-founders Avi and Gabi Shalel, Spectarium has attracted talent from major gaming franchises. Its €5 million seed round in September 2023, led by Bitkraft Ventures, aims to expand the team and enhance Myths.
Spectarium boasts an impressive 97% employee retention for staff with over a year at the studio, a statistic notable in an industry typically characterized by high turnover.
AI-driven content creation
Myths utilizes a proprietary engine that acts as a real-time dungeon master, tailoring content based on player decisions and gameplay styles. This system allows for unique experiences, crafting a narrative that evolves with player behavior.
Unlike traditional procedural generation, Spectarium’s engine makes editorial decisions based on accumulated player data, ensuring no two configurations repeat, enhancing replay value.
Expanding the ecosystem
In addition to Myths, Spectarium is developing Mintarium, an interactive tradable card platform linked to the same universe. This connection indicates the studio’s vision of creating a broader ecosystem, rather than focusing solely on a single title.
With early access live and closed testing signups underway, Spectarium is entering a new phase, backed by community engagement and an established marketplace partner. As Romain Schneider, co-founder, stated, “This collaboration brings us closer to our goal of a truly community-driven game.”
