Championship Details
From February 28th to March 1st, the esports spotlight will shine on the YMIR Cup World Championship, co-hosted by Wemade and Razer. This event is set to take place at Razer’s Southeast Asia headquarters in Singapore, featuring the MMORPG Legend of YMIR, which operates on the WEMIX blockchain platform.
Competitors qualified through a series of league matches held every Friday leading up until February 6th. Each division’s champion will have the opportunity to prove themselves on the global stage, with the overall world champion scheduled to face the winner of Korea’s 2nd YMIR Cup in a special Legend Match.

Michael Kim, Wemade’s head of game business, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming championship: “From enthusiastic participation in the Legend of YMIR Partner Server system to all the passion in action during the Server Battles, we are heartened and honoured to have witnessed the organic growth of this community. We are beyond excited to see this energy and momentum continue in the lead-up to the YMIR Cup World Championship, and with Razer’s support, we look forward to empowering our best players around the world to come together and compete at the highest standards.”
Competition and Community Connection
Beyond the championship, Wemade has enhanced the Legend of YMIR community by offering the ability to run custom servers. Despite the hefty price tag ranging from $20,000 to $30,000 each, the initial ten server offerings were quickly bought at a public auction. In response, Wemade expanded its server offerings, adding Mini, Lite, and Origin variants, providing more choices in server size, operational styles, and price points.
Server operators can earn up to 15% of their server’s monthly revenue, guaranteeing a minimum of $1,000, alongside managing their in-game economies and planning events. This move not only deepens player engagement but also broadens the game’s economic model.
A Continuing Digital Saga
Wemade’s Legend of YMIR extends its presence in the gaming world with promotional collaborations and global engagement strategies. The company has also introduced in-game asset bundles that align with their partnership with Razer, offering exclusive digital content such as Disir companions and bonus Legend of YMIR points. These marketing efforts underscore Wemade’s commitment to integrating the community deeper into the fabric of the game, ensuring that players remain engaged and invested in the evolving narrative and economic landscape of Legend of YMIR.
