- Three Part Release: A total of 60 new players will be introduced in three segments, starting with the first 20 in Round 2.1.
- Economy and System Changes: Significant shifts include moving to a single in-game currency and enhancing the loyalty program to include more comprehensive player activities.
Tournament Entry and Qualification
Football.Fun has launched its second Founders Pack sale, which starts with a qualifying phase using a tournament-based access system. This new approach allows both veteran and new players to compete for the latest player cards by participating in specifically designated tournaments. The qualifying phase is significant as it marks the beginning of a series of three drops under Founders Pack 2, featuring 60 new players. The first drop, known as Round 2.1, will include the initial set of 20 players.

Players need to accumulate Tournament Points (TP) by engaging in tournaments scheduled from September 16 to 19 and September 19 to 23. The total TP scored will influence players’ chances of accessing the new packs, augmented by the efficiency of earning these points and an updated loyalty score that reflects players’ extended interaction within the platform.
Access Mechanics and Tournament Importance
Access to Founders Pack 2.1 is intricately connected to player performance in the upcoming tournaments. The system assesses players not only on the TP gathered but also considers the gold spent during gameplay, which influences the ranking. A revamped loyalty score now takes into account historical data including past tournament outcomes, trading activities, and more. This change ensures that even traded or sold players no longer decrease a player’s loyalty scores.
This loyalty score revamp also paves the way for exclusive rewards, dedicating 10% of the total Founders Pack 2 supply to top performers and long-standing users based on a value cap, preventing disproportionate rewards for higher-value accounts.
System Transition and New Gameplay Economy
A pivotal shift happening on September 23 will see Football.Fun transition from a dual-currency framework to a single currency system, where TP will become the exclusive in-game currency. Players are encouraged to use their Skill Points (SP) by this date, after which any remaining SP will automatically convert to TP at equal value. To assist players in this transition, the platform is also providing a bonus airdrop of 10% of the total SP already earned.
Moreover, once the TP-only system is activated, it will simplify the process of acquiring new players by eliminating the need for SP in player promotion, a change aimed at maintaining player value even as tournament TP awards and pack prices undergo adjustments.

Loyal Players and Future Rewards
Football.Fun is focussing on rewarding loyalty through an enhanced system that counts comprehensive interaction data from the platform. Besides performance-based earnings, about 10% of all Founders Pack 2 cards are reserved for players demonstrating enduring engagement since the start of the Pro version. This holistic view helps in better distributing rewards and preparing for a longer-term loyalty program anticipated later in the year.
Important Dates and Looking Ahead
Key dates for players include:
- September 16-19 and 19-23: Qualifying tournaments for Founders Pack 2.1.
- September 23: Deadline for SP usage and system change to TP-only.
- Late September/Early October: Additional releases in Rounds 2.2 and 2.3 of Founders Pack 2.
FDF Founder Adam McEntee noted the overwhelming interest in the first Founders Pack sale and anticipates a keen competitive spirit as players vie for the new cards. The introduction of a fairer, performance-based access system coupled with economic changes places Football.Fun in a vibrant, evolving phase, geared towards both engaging longstanding community members and welcoming new players.
