This phase of the game allows a select number of players to explore its mechanics and provide feedback in a controlled setting, enhancing the game’s development prior to its full release.
Gameplay Mechanics
Land of Prosperity is a strategic “play to own” game where players start with a personal land block represented by an NFT. These blocks begin as 16×16 areas that can be extensively customized. Players enhance their estates by strategically placing buildings and other items that boost production of the in-game utility token, Point. The type of terrain—Tropical, Desert, or Ice—affects item performance, adding a layer of strategic depth to the game.
Additionally, the game offers a variety of Loot Boxes, which contain land, buildings, and items that can help players advance. These come in different categories and tiers, affecting the rarity and power of the items inside. A repair and durability system is also in place, necessitating regular maintenance of items to continue production.
The Closed Beta Experience
The closed beta of Land of Prosperity is accessible through a whitelist or referral system, limited to 50,000 players. Those granted whitelist access via participation in campaigns or as part of earlier ONProver program engagements receive early entry benefits like a free Land Block that could be of Uncommon or Rare quality. Those joining via referral links start with a Common Block once the game launches on the mainnet.
During this testing phase, players connect their wallets, mint a free Land Block on the BNB Chain testnet, and begin building their digital landscapes. Strategic placement of buildings is crucial as each move or modification costs Point. As players progress, they can earn Loot Boxes through daily and one-time tasks, which provide additional items for upgrades and increased production.
NFT Integration and Trading
Land of Prosperity fully incorporates NFT technology by allowing players to mint their in-game buildings and items as NFTs on the blockchain. This not only makes in-game achievements more tangible but also enables the trading of these assets on external NFT marketplaces, adding an economic angle to the gameplay.
