Nexpace’s popular MMORPG MapleStory N has entered into a collaborative event with the digital brand Pudgy Penguins. This event, set to span until January 28, includes an array of special activations and a dedicated shop where players can purchase limited edition items like the King Pengu Pet, Magic Igloo containing 22 cosmetic items, and raffle entries for a unique Pengu Winter Snowcatcher costume set. These exclusive items are purchasable using the game’s NESO currency.
Event Dynamics
Players participating in the event can engage in the Welcome Pudgy World event and trade Pudgy Jelly, an event-specific reward, for special items. Several subsequent events include “Raise Pudgy to Hero”, encouraging leveling up actions; “Penguins and the Sea”, focusing on ice fishing for rewards; and “Pudgy Pink Bean’s Mystery Staff” which offers players large EXP boosts. Additionally, the “Pudgy Fireworks” and “Pudgy Power Crystal Airdrop” events allow players to gain unique rewards through interactive game play.
Expansion and Token Initiatives
Nexpace is setting a new strategy for its NXPC token with a regular quarterly burn taking place post the end of each fiscal quarter. The first such event will see 3.8 million NXPC tokens burnt, constituting 20% of the tokens accrued from MapleStory Universe’s operations. This process aims to manage the supply of tokens effectively within the ecosystem.
In November, Nexpace also unveiled a $50 million MapleStory Universe ecosystem fund to foster the growth of its gaming environment and broader blockchain ecosystem engagements. This fund will support projects that integrate closely with MapleStory N, leveraging tokenized assets, AI, and financial frameworks.
Security Measures for a Fair Play Environment
Heightened security measures have been spotlighted by Nexpace as it reported banning 640,000 accounts involved in botting, representing 37% of total game accounts. These measures have reportedly led to an 82% drop in botting activities, reflecting Nexpace’s commitment to maintaining a fair play environment. A new KYC re-verification system was also introduced to address account integrity issues effectively.
As Nexpace continues to expand its digital footprint with strategic collaborations and rigorous security measures, MapleStory N remains a vibrant hub for both novices and veteran gamers committed to a unique and secure gaming experience.
