Legends of Elysium

What is Legends of Elysium?

Legends of Elysium is a free-to-play hybrid that puts a trading card game on top of a board game: cards are played onto a hexagonal board, so positioning on the map matters as much as the deck. Four races share that world — Human, Dark Elf, Orc and Entropy. It runs in a browser at play.legendsofelysium.io and is also published on Steam and Google Play, so a player can pick it up without installing anything and move to a client later.

How to play Legends of Elysium

Two modes are offered. League is played with premade decks, which puts every player on the same card pool and makes the match a test of play rather than of collection. Battlefield is the draft mode, where a deck is assembled during the session. Both are resolved on the hex board, where units are placed, moved and fought over terrain rather than traded blow-for-blow in an abstract lane. Purchases in the game are cosmetic.

Legends of Elysium tokenomics & earning

The LOE token runs on Polygon and trades on Gate, MEXC, Bitpanda and Uniswap. It can be staked, and rewards are claimed through a token panel inside the game. The NFT side is deliberately kept out of the competitive balance: card backs, boards and avatars trade on OpenSea, and everything purchasable is cosmetic — so a player who spends nothing meets a player who spends heavily on equal cards.

Our verdict on Legends of Elysium

Legends of Elysium is a fantasy trading card game built on Ethereum, and the card-game half is the part that defines it — the RPG framing sits around a collectible battler rather than replacing it. Cards and other in-game items exist as blockchain assets, so a deck is something you can genuinely sell or trade outside the game rather than a permission the publisher grants you.

What works is the clarity of that premise. Card games are one of the few genres where tradable ownership maps cleanly onto how people already behave: secondary markets for cards predate crypto by decades, and quests plus PvP give collected cards somewhere to be used instead of only held.

What does not work is how little the project's own material commits to specifics. The pitch leans on generic language — immersive storytelling, security, transparency — without describing deck sizes, resource systems, match length, or how new cards enter circulation. Those details decide whether a card game is worth returning to, and their absence is a real gap. No developer is publicly identified here either.

It suits players already comfortable with Ethereum wallets who want a card collection they own outright, and who are willing to check legendsofelysium.io directly for the mechanical detail the marketing skips.

This is our own editorial assessment. We do not score games — ratings come from players.
