About Parallel
What is Parallel?
Parallel is a free-to-play digital trading card game from Parallel Studios. Players collect cards, build 40-card decks and compete against other players. Each card exists as an ERC-1155 digital collectible on the Ethereum network, and owning the collectible version is optional for play. As of November 2026, the official FAQ describes Parallel as an online PC game in Open Beta. The official site is parallel.life.
How to play Parallel
A deck needs 40 cards from one Parallel (faction) plus Universal cards. Players can mix account-bound Apparition cards with tradable digital collectibles. Ranked wins earn PRIME, the game's reward token. The official FAQ says owning the digital collectible version of a card gives you an opportunity to earn PRIME. The FAQ gives no prices for decks.
Parallel and blockchains
The FAQ names Ethereum as the network for the cards. Parallel announced on its official X account that it would use Base, an Ethereum layer-2 network, for in-game emissions of the PRIME reward token. A wallet is not required to play: the FAQ states the game does not require a Web3 wallet.
Our verdict
Parallel is a competitive constructed card game from Parallel Studios, wrapped in a sci-fi premise about five branches of post-exodus humanity (Augencore, Earthen, Kathari, Marcolian and the Shroud) returning to contest a recovered Earth. Mechanically it is orthodox: 40-card decks drawn from a single faction plus Universal cards, and a Paragon leader that anchors the strategy. The cards themselves are ERC-1155 collectibles on the Ethereum network.
The game and the economy are separate layers. The official FAQ says the game is free to play and needs no Web3 wallet, and that owning the collectible version of a card gives you an opportunity to earn PRIME. Without collectibles you can still play with account-bound cards, but the reward opportunity belongs to collectible owners, and the FAQ publishes no prices for building a deck.
As of November 2026 the FAQ calls the game an online PC title in Open Beta. It suits players who enjoy deckbuilding on its own merits and treat the token layer as optional. Anyone planning to earn their way up from nothing should expect the earning side to depend on buying collectibles.
