What is Aurory?

Aurory is a Solana game studio whose main title, Seekers of Tokane, is a rogue-lite JRPG built around collectible creatures called Nefties. Players take the role of a Seeker travelling through procedurally generated stretches of the world of Tokane, fighting wild Nefties in turn-based battles and deciding how far to push before leaving with what they have won. It is a creature-collecting role-playing game with a run-based structure, not an open-world builder. It plays in the browser and has also been released through the Epic Games Store. How to play Aurory

A run sends the player into unexplored land with a small team of Nefties. Combat is turn-based — the game calls its system Blitz — and each round is a choice of moves for each creature, with the option to swap a hurt Neftie out for a fresh one. Loot accumulates as a run continues, and the tension is in the exit: reaching the right portal banks everything collected, while losing a battle sends the team home and forfeits the run's rewards. Outside of runs, Nefties can be strengthened through the Amplifier, and there is a separate player-versus-player Blitz mode. Free-to-play accounts get a large set of avatar customisation options without owning an NFT.

Aurory tokenomics & earning

AURY is the project's token on Solana, used across the Aurory ecosystem, and Nefties can exist as tradable NFTs. What is honest to say about earning is that it depends on two separate things going right: performing well enough in runs and matches to accumulate anything worth having, and the market holding up for whatever that is worth. The game is playable free without buying an NFT, so it can be treated as a game first and an economy second — which is the sensible way to approach it.
