Wreck League

Wreck League is an Ethereum-based fighting game built around modular mech NFTs rather than a conventional roster of fixed characters. The premise is assembly: parts are the collectible layer, and the mech you take into a match is something you have put together rather than something you selected.

What works, at least as a design idea, is that this gives NFT ownership an actual mechanical role. Parts are not cosmetic badges sitting beside the game — the pieces you hold determine what you can field, which makes the trading layer and the combat layer feed each other instead of running in parallel. The multiplayer framing means the interesting outcomes come from other players, not from a grind loop.

The obvious caution is that a parts-based economy is only as fair as its matchmaking. Where equipment is bought, a player who spends more can arrive better equipped, and that is the pressure any game of this shape has to answer. Ethereum as the settlement layer also means transaction costs sit between you and ownership changes, which suits collectors more than casual dabblers.

This is for players who like brawlers and are comfortable with a collectible economy attached. Anyone wanting to simply play without touching a wallet should look elsewhere.
