FLOKI’s Valhalla Hosts Major Tournament
The Valhalla Game, a prominent component of the Floki ecosystem, is set to host its inaugural large-scale tournament. The blockchain-based MMORPG, which features play-to-earn mechanics using the FLOKI token, has garnered attention with its substantial prize offering of $155,000. As the game prepares for this significant event, both amateur and seasoned gamers are encouraged to participate.
Qualifying Rounds and Rules of Engagement
The Floki team announced the details regarding the competition’s structure on the social platform X. “Qualifiers for Valhalla’s first $155,000 tournament will start tomorrow, and you’re still early enough to join. All it takes to join the qualifiers is three different types of Veras, which you can capture right now at Valhalla.” Moreover, it was mentioned that “The Veras you capture will be auto-leveled to max level for the PvP matches,” ensuring fairness across the competition. The qualifying rounds, set to begin on September 30, will consist of stage matches where each win grants the player one point. The 64 players with the highest scores and meeting other criteria, such as ELO scores and total battle damage, will proceed to the main bracket.
The elimination phase is scheduled for October 4-5 and will involve six rounds in a knockout format. Strict adherence to the tournament rules is mandatory; any form of collusion, exploitation of technical flaws, or blockchain manipulation will result in disqualification. These measures are in place to foster a fair and honest competitive environment.
Reward Distribution
The tournament’s prize layout is heavily weighted towards the top contestants but still provides incentives across the board. The champion stands to gain $50,000, followed by $20,000 for second place. Subsequent prizes diminish in value down the bracket with even those ranking between 33rd to 64th earning $400 each.
For those who do not advance past the qualifiers, there is still an opportunity to obtain rewards. “If you don’t make it [past] the qualifiers, there’s a $5,000 bonus pool waiting. That means the top 500 players who don’t qualify still earn $10 each.” To claim their prize, these participants are required to interact with a specific post on X and complete a registration process.
