ROHAN 2 Global

ROHAN 2 Global is a Korean fantasy MMORPG from Playwith Korea and NEXUS, built as a direct sequel to the 2008 Rohan and launched worldwide on 30 September 2025 for Windows PC, Android and iOS. It is a conventional race-and-class MMO first — humans, elves and half-elves, skill trees, gear grinding, large boss fights and open-world PvP — with a token layer running alongside it rather than underneath it.

What works is that the chain layer is optional: players who never open a wallet get the whole game. The economy is also unusually explicit for the genre. The in-game currency Ruby is capped at one billion units, and value travels a defined ladder from Ruby to sRuby to the on-chain $RUBYx and then to $CROSS on the CROSS Protocol.

What does not work is that this is a currency pipeline, not asset ownership. Claims of NFT equipment on a decentralised marketplace overstate the design, which converts spending into tradable tokens; every conversion step adds friction and ties your progress to a token price unrelated to how you play.

It suits veterans of 2000s Korean grind MMOs who want a cash-out lane. Anyone after modern combat design or genuine on-chain item custody will find little here.
