Space Nation
What is Space Nation?
Space Nation Online is a space opera MMORPG. The studio's own three words for it are build, fight, survive, and it is a full client game — you download a launcher and play it on a PC, rather than opening a browser tab. The setting is the Oikos star system, and the fiction is treated as an ongoing serial rather than a backdrop.
The world and its updates
Story and patch arrive together. Project Nexus, cleared for construction by the Oikos Research Affairs Office, introduced Boone Percival's fusion-designed spacecraft and, with it, a new era for the star system — which is how the game presents most of its content, as events inside its own world with in-fiction authorities announcing them. Guides, a whitepaper and a litepaper are published alongside for players who want the systems rather than the story.
$OIK and the economy
$OIK is the token, with daily airdrops, staking, claims and a redemption route inside the game, plus missions, referrals and daily activities that feed it. The project runs external campaigns on top — a trading competition with Binance Wallet, with rewards weighted by volume — and collaborates with outside NFT communities, including a partnership that brought Pudgy Penguins into the game. Downloads, claims and the store are all reachable from the front page.

Our verdict on Space Nation
Space Nation is a science-fiction MMO built around galactic exploration, base building and interstellar combat, with Ethereum used as the settlement layer for its assets. The pitch is a persistent universe where you scout systems, gather scarce resources, put up your own space stations and fight or trade with other players — the sort of long-horizon, faction-driven space game where alliances matter more than any single ship.
What works, at least on paper, is the ambition of the scope. Exploration, industry, station construction and PvP are a coherent set of loops that feed one another, and resource scarcity plus player-run alliances give the trading and diplomacy layers something real to argue over. On-chain records for ownership are a genuine fit here, since space sandboxes live and die on whether players trust that what they earned stays theirs.
What does not convince is the framing. Recording every decision and action on-chain is presented as a feature in itself, but transparency is not gameplay, and the material available leans on adjectives — stunning, immersive, unique — where it should be describing systems, ship classes or economy rules. The developer is not named publicly on the listing either.
It is for patient sandbox and space-sim players comfortable with an Ethereum wallet, and a poor fit for anyone wanting a self-contained session game.
