The Plooshies
The Plooshies
The Plooshies, which is currently built on the Abstract chain, is not just one game but a collection of casual browser and mobile experiences that introduce players to a world filled with quirky, animated characters called Plooshies. Each game in the series offers a different way to engage with the Plooshyverse. The games are designed to be accessible, with easy-to-learn mechanics that cater to both casual players and those who want to dive deeper into the community.
Gameplay and Features
The Plooshies series includes multiple games, each with different mechanics and ways to play.
One of the main games, Plooshy Pile Up, is available on mobile. It’s a straightforward but challenging game where players stack Plooshies while trying to complete different puzzles and challenges. It has a casual feel but also offers enough variety to keep players engaged as they aim for higher scores.

For those who prefer browser-based games, there are several available on the Itch.io platform. These include Pudgy Penguins Pinball, Bananarama, Rescue Cooper, and Bear Pong. Each of these games is quick to pick up and play, offering short bursts of entertainment without requiring a download.

The most expansive experience is Plooshy Island, which serves as a multiplayer world where players can explore, interact, and customize their space. It includes a housing system where players can own apartments or houses, decorate them, and engage in resource collection. There’s also a marketplace for trading and a variety of activities that add more layers to the experience.

One of the main gameplay mechanics on Plooshy Island is resource gathering. Players can mine Plooshy Crystals, which can be used for upgrades and in-game economy interactions. These crystals spawn in player-owned properties, creating an in-game economy where mining and trading play a role in progression. There are also quests and other activities that reward players for their time spent in the game.
NFTs and Web3
The Plooshies has integrated NFTs into its ecosystem, though they aren’t required to play. These NFTs represent various in-game assets, from characters to properties.
The Plooshy NFT Collection includes 3,333 fully animated 3D characters, each with unique traits. Owning one of these NFTs provides additional perks, including customization options and exclusive in-game rewards.
Beyond the NFT collections, the game will also feature Plooshy Points (PP) and $CUDDLE Coin. Plooshy Points function as off-chain rewards that players can earn through gameplay and community activities. $CUDDLE Coin is an in-game currency that adds more utility and progression mechanics.

Our verdict on The Plooshies
The Plooshies is less a single game than a small studio's catalogue built around one cast of animated plush characters, spread across mobile and browser. The mobile entry, Plooshy Pile Up, is a stacking-and-puzzle score chaser; the browser side is a set of short Itch.io titles — Pudgy Penguins Pinball, Bananarama, Rescue Cooper, Bear Pong — that load and play in a minute or two.
What works is the low barrier: nothing needs a wallet, the games are free-form arcade filler, and the NFT layer is explicitly optional rather than a gate. The 3,333-piece animated 3D character collection buys cosmetic customisation and in-game perks, not access.
What does not work, at least yet, is the part the project is actually selling. Plooshy Island — the multiplayer world with housing, decoration, Plooshy Crystal mining, quests and a trading marketplace — is still in development and slated for Abstract, and the accompanying Plooshy Points and $CUDDLE currency are equally forward-looking. Everything playable today is a mini-game; the economy and the persistent world are promises.
Worth a look if you want undemanding browser or phone distractions with a consistent art identity, or if you are tracking early Abstract projects. Anyone after a finished social world should wait for the Island.
