The Karrat Foundation has launched Studio Chain, a new Layer 2 blockchain designed to transform the entertainment and gaming industries. With a focus on scalability and accessibility, Studio Chain provides creators, developers, and studios with tools to produce and monetize digital content while ensuring on-chain ownership and transparency.
Studio Chain functions as a high-performance, developer-friendly network aimed at practical applications in entertainment. Built using Arbitrum Orbit and Caldera, the blockchain uses $KARRAT as its native gas token. Its goal is to bridge traditional media workflows with Web3 infrastructure, offering features such as tokenized intellectual property, transparent governance, and community-driven funding models.
My Pet Hooligan to Lead as Launch Title

For the mainnet debut, AMGI Studios, a company founded by veterans from Pixar, Disney, and Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), has joined as the official launch partner. The studio will release its flagship game, My Pet Hooligan, as the first project to operate on the Studio Chain platform.
My Pet Hooligan is already available in demo form on Steam, with early access pending, and also on Epic Games Store and XBOX. My Pet Hooligan showcases how mainstream entertainment and gaming projects can leverage blockchain technology to enhance engagement and community ownership without compromising accessibility or player experience.
Innovative Network Model and Staking
A key feature of Studio Chain is its Resiliency Nodes (RNs), a staking-based mechanism that allows community members to contribute to network stability, regardless of the size of their stake. At launch, 20 nodes will be activated, each requiring a stake of 5 million $KARRAT, resulting in a total of 100 million $KARRAT locked into the network.
Participants in the RN system can earn shares of sequencer revenue and receive returns of up to 20% annually from Year 1 reward pools. These incentives are backed by 20 million $KARRAT provided by the Karrat Foundation, with additional rewards linked to upcoming tokens from AMGI Studios and future ecosystem partners. Unlike traditional validator systems that require licenses or substantial upfront investments, Studio Chain’s open and pooled staking model lowers entry barriers, encouraging decentralization and community involvement in network maintenance.
Studio Chain’s architecture is designed to facilitate the integration of Web3 features, such as token-based rewards, digital ownership, and interoperable assets, for entertainment studios. The network empowers communities and fans to participate in funding, governance, and growth initiatives, aligning the success of studios with audience engagement.
The Karrat Foundation also invites developers, partners, and studios to join the ecosystem by staking $KARRAT, building integrations, and collaborating on media initiatives that support the network’s expansion.
