About Cropz
What is Cropz?
Cropz is a farming game played in a web browser on Robinhood Chain, the Layer 2 network run by Robinhood. Players grow crops on their own farm, sell them in town and trade with other players at the bazaar. Farms are saved on the server, so progress stays put when the tab is closed.
The game has 21 crops, levels 1 to 30, 13 farm sizes and 555 Genesis characters. Besides farming, players can fill orders, trade, ride, dress up, spin a wheel and expand their farm.
How to play Cropz
New players start with a small farm, 3 carrot seeds and 120 Gold. Seeds come from the Merchant in the plaza. You plant them on your farm and wait for the round to finish. Each harvest rolls a quality, and the weather can mutate it. Rare qualities and mutations sell for more, and the bazaar is where you sell to other players who want them.
The order board has 4 Gold orders a day. Each one pays more than the Merchant would for the same crops. Levelling up opens new crops, bigger farms, pets and mounts.
Cropz tokenomics & earning
The game's token is CROPZ. Cropz Genesis is a set of 555 NFT characters that holders play as in the game. Holders get in first by signing in with the wallet that holds their NFT.
The official site says the game opens to everyone and the CROPZ token is minted on Monday 19 October, 2 to 3 hours after holders get access. In late October the site still said the game "opens soon", so it isn't confirmed whether the public launch went ahead on schedule. The site doesn't list token supply, allocation or reward rates.
Is Cropz worth playing?
Cropz is new, and the official site at cropz.world has few details about the token economy so far. The farming loop of planting, rolling for quality and selling through orders or the bazaar is free of any listed entry cost beyond the starting kit. Cropz is a farming game you play in the browser on Robinhood Chain, and it has its own token, CROPZ. You start on a small plot with 3 carrot seeds and 120 Gold. You buy more seeds from the Merchant in the plaza, plant them, wait for the round to end and harvest. Each harvest rolls a quality, and the weather can mutate a crop, so two fields of the same seed can pay out differently.
The structure is easy to follow. There are 21 crops, levels 1 to 30 and 13 farm sizes, and new levels open more crops, bigger farms, pets and mounts. Your farm is saved on the server, so closing the tab loses nothing. The order board posts 4 Gold orders a day that pay more than the Merchant does, which gives you a reason to plan what you plant. The bazaar is where you sell rare crops to other players.
The weak spots are access and money. Holders of the 555 Genesis characters got in first, and the game was set to open to everyone, with the token minted, on Monday 19 October, two to three hours after the holders. The site still showed a countdown when checked, so make sure it's open before you plan to play. The token's value is speculative, and the plant-and-wait loop is slow.
It suits players who like short check-ins and trading crops, and who are comfortable using a wallet on Robinhood Chain.
