In Brief:

  • Everdraw has opened its Grimoire reveal page. Holders burn a Grimoire to mint one of 2,000 PFPs, chosen from a pool of 6,000 generated images.
  • Season Genesis, the first season of Everdraw’s TCG and RPG hybrid, will run eight weeks with $50,000 in USDC rewards, paid at $6,250 per week.
  • The team said it has moved 559 Grimoires, 28.05% of supply, into the treasury, where they won’t earn Season Genesis rewards. It gave no launch date after earlier delays.

Everdraw opened its Grimoire reveal page and posted the reward schedule for Season Genesis, an eight-week season seeded with $50,000 in USDC.

The reveal turns Grimoires into Everdraw PFPs. The team generated 6,000 images but will mint only 2,000 of them, and the other 4,000 will be discarded. Holders decide which ones survive.

“You’ll be the master of what gets minted,” the team said in its announcement.

Burn, pick, discard

A holder picks a Grimoire on the reveal page, the Grimoire is burned and a PFP is minted into the Everdraw collection. What happens next depends on which of the two Grimoire types was used.

A Summoning Grimoire shows three randomized options, one of each base character: Wink, Flux and Glyph. The holder keeps one, and the other two are “sent to the cemetery.” Each option has a detail card showing how many of each trait have been minted so far, so holders can check rarity before they choose.

The 1/1s skip that step. There are 21 of them, and a holder who reveals one gets it automatically, so a 1/1 can’t be sent to the cemetery by mistake.

Zombie Grimoires work the other way. About 10% of Grimoires, 218 exactly, are Zombies, and they let the holder pick any PFP already in the cemetery. Everdraw said that pool could hold hundreds of PFPs and suggested Zombie holders “check in on the cemetery and wait until they see one that they like!”

Zombie Grimoires can’t reveal 1/1s. And a PFP passed over during a Summoning reveal isn’t offered to another Summoning holder.

The team said neither Grimoire type is better than the other: “They allow you to access a different portion of the reveal experience.” Users can also see the choices other people made.

Rarity set by holders

Asked which traits are rare, Everdraw called it “a trick question,” because the people revealing will decide that through their picks. The team said it’s theoretically possible for one of the three base characters to end up with zero mints.

The three characters have different traits. For now they don’t offer different experiences in the game, the team said.

The benefits promised to Grimoire holders will go to the Everdraw NFTs. Holders who don’t reveal keep their rewards, since those will also be sent to Grimoire holders.

Season Genesis payouts

Season Genesis is the first version of Everdraw’s first product, which mixes a TCG and an RPG. Each of the eight weeks pays $6,250: 4,500 USDC in rank rewards and 1,750 USDC in raffle rewards. Card packs will also be part of the raffle rewards.

The in-game store will stay closed during Week 1, so only items minted before launch can be used. Everdraw said this thanks the community for its patience with the delay, and it limits Week 1 rewards (“$6,000+ USDC”) to people who got pre-launch assets at mint or on secondary.

Credits will be used to get in-game assets. Tickets will count toward the weekly ranking and raffle rewards. Holders will claim the assets from Grimoires, Pack Bundles and Origin Boxes through an in-game special experience once the game opens.

Treasury buys

Everdraw said it used trading fees and treasury funds to buy up a share of the NFTs on the market, because the team decided it should help support the secondary market. The treasury now holds:

Grimoires: 210, or 10.5% of supply, plus 349 (17.55%) pre-minted to the treasury for future rewards. That totals 559, or 28.05%.

Pack Bundles: 101, or 12.75% of supply.

Origin Boxes: 27, or 6.94% of supply.

The Pack Bundles and Origin Boxes it bought will never go back into circulation. With Week 1 limited to pre-launch assets, the team said fewer players can enter that week, so the remaining holders have a better shot at the USDC rewards.

Treasury Grimoires won’t earn Season Genesis rewards. Everdraw said that means Grimoire holders, and later Everdraw PFP holders, will get a larger share of allocations and rewards, including the $EVER allocation.

No date yet

Everdraw described $EVER as “an eventual token that will be airdropped to players and holders.” Season Zero referrals will earn in-game assets based on whether the referred users minted. Referrers will later get a portion of $EVER based on how much those users play.

Community posts in mid-September put the Season Genesis launch about two weeks away and said Grimoire supply had been cut from 2,149 to 2,000. The project mints on Solana. Its Genesis mint opened Sept. 10 at 1.2 SOL.

The team acknowledged the delay but didn’t give a new date. Screen previews posted with the announcement are still marked as work in progress and may change.

“We’re doing everything we can to release as soon as possible, but following some recent delays, we prefer not giving a concrete timeline, to avoid once again setting false expectations,” the team said.
