Netflix has officially revealed the release date for One Piece Season 2, following months of speculation and excitement from fans worldwide. The live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s legendary manga will make its long-awaited return on March 10, 2026.
The announcement came alongside new promotional images teasing what’s next for Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates as they continue their journey toward the Grand Line. Season 2 will introduce some of the most iconic story arcs from the manga, including Drum Island and Little Garden, bringing beloved new characters and fearsome enemies to life that fans have been eager to see in live action.
According to reports, production for the second season wrapped earlier this year, with much of the crew returning from Season 1 to maintain the same cinematic tone and adventure-driven storytelling that made the debut such a global hit. The creative team has also promised stronger world-building, improved special effects, and more faithful adaptations of Oda’s signature humor and heart.

While Netflix’s live-action One Piece continues to expand its universe, the anime version will also undergo structural changes in 2026. The anime is expected to take a short hiatus from January to March of that year to reorganize production and improve visual consistency across future episodes.

The upcoming season will further explore the Straw Hat crew’s evolving relationships, the mysteries of the Grand Line, and Luffy’s growing reputation as a pirate captain. With the introduction of fan-favorite characters like Tony Tony Chopper and Princess Vivi, Season 2 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2026.
The global success of One Piece‘s first season proved that anime-to-live-action adaptations can succeed when handled with care. With a massive fanbase and a new adventure on the horizon, Netflix is clearly investing in One Piece as one of its flagship franchises.
