Axie: Den of Mysteries now live
Axie: Den of Mysteries (Axie: DoM), a new dungeon crawler, has launched on the Ronin network, developed by Onchain Heroes. Players can engage in fast-paced runs, lasting 3–5 minutes, to gather loot and participate in a self-sustaining rewards system.
Gameplay mechanics
Players enter the Den using purchased Keys, which cost around $2 and can be bought with ETH, AXS, RON, or USDC. Each Key amplifies loot opportunities within the run. Spending more Keys increases rewards from loot drops and affects the odds of receiving Blessings.
Each run starts with 100 Stamina, expended with every move. Players defeat enemies to find additional Stamina, Treasure, and Shards. The dungeon features unique elements, such as teleporting Gates and restorative Fountains, to enhance strategic play.
Rewards structure
Treasure accumulates during runs and resets at the week’s end, allowing players to claim USDC payouts proportional to their collections. The Weekly Prize Pool grows with each Key purchased, with 60% allocated to player rewards, 30% to the Blessing Pool, and 10% going to development. Additionally, $5,000 in bAXS will be distributed weekly to the top 100 Shard collectors for four weeks.
Boss mechanics and Blessings
The Den’s boss, the Werewolf, has an 8% chance of spawning between Floors 7 and 15. Defeating this boss provides instant USDC payouts and restores Stamina. Players can earn varying Blessings based on their successes against the Werewolf.
Axie: DoM not only invites players to explore but encourages them to strategize and optimize runs for greater gains. As Buba takes his first steps into the Den, the increasing number of players promises an expanding ecosystem of rewards and competition.
