Origins S18 launch details
Axie Infinity has rolled out Origins S18, featuring a competitive prize pool of 80,000 bAXS for top players. Players will compete in its Elite 4 format, maintaining the competitive integrity of the leaderboard with strict measures against manipulation.
The season offers a well-defined schedule: the Rare Era runs from July 8, followed by the Epic Era on July 22, the Mystic Era on August 5, and the Final Era on August 19, culminating in the conclusion of S18 on September 2.
This season, all rewards will be disbursed in bAXS, the non-transferable token designed to keep value circulating within the Axie ecosystem. Players are motivated to engage long-term, as bAXS can be used for breeding and evolving Axies but cannot be transferred between accounts.
Players with higher Axie Scores benefit from significantly reduced Treasury fees when converting bAXS to AXS, underscoring the platform’s focus on rewarding long-term commitment. The top 2,000 players are set to compete for 20,000 bAXS during the Rare Era alone, with additional bonuses for other milestones.
To bolster fairness, era rewards remain pending until thorough checks are complete, ensuring the leaderboard reflects genuine performance. Violations such as multi-accounting will result in permanent bans.
Furthermore, the Collectible Chest feature returns, presenting another opportunity for dedicated players. Those who finish the Rare Era at Tiger rank while retaining their collectible Axie will earn chests containing tickets for a share of an additional 10,000 bAXS pool.
