Immortal Rising 2 opens Guild War pre-registration in July update, lifts stage cap to 4,000

Immortal Rising 2 pushed its July update live, opening pre-registration for Guild War and lifting the game’s stage ceiling from 3,000 to 4,000.

The patch also adds two systems, the Divine Beast Cradle and an Equipment Auto-Forge, and closes with a round of bug fixes. Players have to download the update and restart the game to get the new content.

Guild War moves off the roadmap

Guild War is the headline. The mode has been listed on the game’s second-half 2025 roadmap alongside SSS-grade Symbols, a third SSS-grade equipment set and a skin system. Pre-registration is the first step toward a live launch after more than a year of teasers.

The studio built the game around guild play from the start. Immortals band together to fight shared bosses and contest territory, and Guild War formalizes that competition.

The stage expansion adds 1,000 stages to the idle RPG’s main progression track, extending the endgame grind for players who’ve already cleared the previous cap.

Equipment Auto-Forge targets the game’s forging loop. Immortal Rising 2 already runs equipment enhancement through Forge Stone pulled from the Cursed Armory, and the new tool automates part of that process. The studio named the Divine Beast Cradle among the additions but didn’t detail it in the post.

Where the game stands

Immortal Rising 2 is a free-to-play idle RPG built on Immutable zkEVM. Bad Beans developed it, and Planetarium Labs, the studio behind Nine Chronicles, publishes it.

The Bad Beans team includes the lead designer from the indie hit Dave the Diver. Planetarium Labs raised $32 million in a Series A round led by Animoca Brands.

The IMT token went live in a March 2025 generation event across Ethereum and Immutable, with total supply capped at 1 billion. IMT works as a governance token and can be staked, and the game’s Starlight currency converts into it.

The franchise carries a Web2 record behind it. The original Immortal Rising drew more than 2 million downloads and $12 million in revenue as an idle RPG. The sequel became the top game on Immutable and moved over from a base of more than 1 million existing players.

Bad Beans has shipped on a steady cadence this year. It added a Pet System in June and expanded the Greater Rift Abyss to Stage 60 in May. A January developer letter laid out a broader core rebuild covering a skill-system overhaul, a new Earth attribute and higher-tier U5 and U6 Arcane Stones.

The sequel drew interest fast at launch. Immortal Rising 2 passed 10,000 downloads on Google Play within the first 24 hours of going live.
