Armored Mewtwo has been gone since 2020. It’s back this weekend, and it’s in raids all day.
That’s the headline for “Pokémon Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale,” the end-of-summer wrap-up event running Saturday, Sept. 5 and Sunday, Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time both days. Five-star raids on both days, so you don’t have to plan your whole afternoon around a window.
What this event actually is
Lower your expectations a little. This isn’t as bonus-loaded as the main Go Fest, and pretending otherwise would be doing you a disservice.
What it is good for: catching up on Mega Evolution-eligible Pokémon, and stockpiling any extra Mewtwo Mega Energy you still need. If you’ve been putting that off all summer, this is your window.
The structure is the usual one. Type-based habitats rotate every hour, swapping out the wild spawns and changing what’s sitting in raids.
The bonuses are mostly behind the Go Pass
Most of what’s on offer this weekend is tied to the Go Pass, which showed up earlier this week as part of the “Mega Ascension” event. Same list as before, nothing new bolted on.
There are two free bonuses that sit outside the Go Pass entirely.
To unlock the Go Pass, you’ll run a quick Timed Research and pick between Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox and Mega Greninja. Choose accordingly.

How to spend the weekend
Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie show up in every single habitat across both days, so you can stop hunting them and let them come to you.
The rest is a matter of what you’re short on. Need Mewtwo Mega Energy? Saturday and Sunday both hand you a Super Mega Raid target for eight straight hours.
And if you skipped 2020, or you were playing then and never landed the thing, the answer is simpler. Armored Mewtwo, five-star raids, both days, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Go get it.
