In Brief:
- Off The Grid (official site)’s marketplace moved 1.5 million GUN across 636 sales settled on the GUNZ chain over the past 30 days, according to the official GUNZ account.
- The top trade was a Golden Yank Hat at 130,000 GUN, followed by a Cyrix at 100,000 GUN and a Meatport DJ Track, “Enter,” at 60,000 GUN.
- Every item on the marketplace comes from players. Gunzilla (official site) sells only battle passes and earns fees on peer-to-peer trades, so the volume figure reflects player-to-player activity rather than studio drops.

A Golden Yank Hat led the period at 130,000 GUN. A Cyrix sold for 100,000 GUN and a Meatport DJ Track called “Enter” changed hands at 60,000 GUN.

How the numbers compare
The same account publishes weekly marketplace reports, and the earlier figures give the 30-day tally some context. For July 3 to 10, GUNZ reported 389 sales at an average price of 917 GUN, with an Ape-Fool’s Gold Mask topping the week at 85,000 GUN.
The Golden Yank Hat has surfaced in the account’s posts before. GUNZ previously highlighted a buyer who paid $350 for one on OpenSea and transferred it into the game, describing the item as one of the rarest in Off The Grid.
Network activity has run well ahead of marketplace sales. A mid-July report counted 1.14 million HEXes decoded in a single week, up 33% week over week, with daily transactions above 500,000 on five days and a peak of 573,920 on July 13. Earlier in the year, on January 15, the chain processed 2.5 million transactions in one day.
Player-sourced supply
Gunzilla doesn’t sell in-game items. The studio’s only direct product is the battle pass, which players need in order to list items for sale. Everything else on the marketplace has to be earned in matches, primarily by extracting from the map, and then sold peer to peer. Gunzilla takes a fee on each trade.
That policy means the 636 sales and the 1.5 million GUN behind them came entirely from players trading with one another.
Items trade on both the game’s own marketplace and OpenSea, which integrated the GUNZ chain after launch. The first 24 hours of that rollout produced $1 million in GUN-denominated volume, including a Tacoma Gun that sold for 55,000 GUN. By January 19, GUNZ said 20 million NFTs had been traded on OpenSea, with the collection listing more than 21 million items at the time.
Background
GUNZ is an Avalanche subnet built by Gunzilla Games for Off The Grid, its third-person extraction battle royale. The network went live on mainnet on March 31, 2025 alongside the GUN token, and the chain is open to other studios. Early players migrated from testnet to mainnet in January, starting with the first 21,000 accounts, and Avalanche explorer data showed a peak above 22,000 daily active wallets during that window.
The GUN token has traded far below its launch price for most of the year. Its market cap sat near $43 million in the most recent published figures, roughly 75% under where it debuted, against a 10 billion maximum supply.
Off The Grid remains in early access on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Gunzilla has scheduled the 1.0 release for October 2026.
“The economy keeps growing,” the GUNZ account said.
