Might & Magic Fates added the Sylvan faction Sept. 29 when its Sylvan Awakening update went live. The update brings more than 40 new cards, a new “Stealth” mechanic and a new battle pass.
“Sylvan Awakening is live!” the game’s official account said on X, listing “40+ brand-new cards to collect” along with the battle pass. Full patch notes were posted to the game’s Discord server.

What’s in the battle pass
The developers announced the battle pass a few days before launch. It includes an exclusive Limited Legendary Implosion and the Sylvan hero Ossir, along with animated Rare and Legendary card rewards.
Exclusive profile pictures, titles and card backs are also part of the pass.
In the weeks before launch, the team revealed cards from a Sylvan Key Bundle a few at a time. The bundle went on presale through the game’s official shop.
Immutable points to the Forge
Immutable, Ubisoft’s partner on the game, reposted the launch and tied the new season to the Forge, a feature released shortly before it.
“And with the Forge’s recent release, you can now truly Own & Trade your entire collection,” Immutable said in its post.
The game’s website says the Forge lets players “transform your Might & Magic The Card Game cards into tradable digital collectibles.” The site also says players can use it to upgrade their collection and take their cards beyond the game. Forged cards are sacrificed in exchange for the NFT version.
Ubisoft has said trading is available only in eligible regions and runs through an external marketplace built on Immutable’s technology. The company has described the feature as optional, saying it gives players no competitive advantage and that they can reach the top level without it.
The official website doesn’t give Forge costs or say which cards qualify.
Sixth faction
Sylvan is the game’s sixth faction. Fates launched with four: Haven, Necropolis, Inferno and Academy. Stronghold came next, with its hero, Sandor, released through the Season 1 Hero Pass.
The game’s official X account and website now use the name Might and Magic: The Card Game. The account still uses the handle @MightMagicFates.
Background
Ubisoft and Immutable first announced Fates as a free-to-play trading card game set in the Might and Magic universe, with cross-play across platforms. It entered early access Feb. 16, 2026, on Steam, Android and iOS.
Steam reviews for the game are mixed. Fifty-one percent of its 1,798 user reviews are positive. In the last 30 days, that figure is 42% of 78 reviews.
