Growth since day 11
Comparing the post with the project’s day-11 figures shows how much moved in the following few days. At 11 days, the account reported $111,126 in stocks bought for Reward Pools, 43,097 accounts created, 59.8 million $PAWS burned and about two million work shifts claimed.
So sign-ups stayed close to flat across those last few days. Shifts went up by roughly 300,000 and burns by about 4.9 million $PAWS.
How the prizes work
Players run a crew of Cats in Sherwood Forest. They send each Cat to a business for a shift lasting anywhere from one minute to eight hours, then claim the shift for materials and XP. Shifts shorter than 10 minutes earn no Reward Round points.
Every business belongs to an industry, and every industry has a prize pool paid in one tokenized stock: Apple, Costco, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet or NVIDIA. Players spend materials and $PAWS to level up Cats, recruit new ones, open businesses and expand their land.
The money for prizes comes from a 3% fee, paid in USDG, on every buy and sell of $PAWS in its Uniswap pool. For every $3 in fees, about $1.75 buys stock prizes and $0.25 goes to Creator Rewards. The other $1 stays with the game.
Players have to clear some bars before they can win. One is having spent at least 150 $PAWS in the game in total, or holding $PAWS staked in a lock that runs past the end of the next round.
Switch to weekly pools
The game’s player guide, dated Oct. 8, describes 12-hour Reward Rounds. Eight prize pools are split by points when each round ends.
The team has since changed that. In one X post it said that starting at 00:00 UTC on Saturday, Oct. 17, each pool’s stock would build all week and then pay out to its Top 25 players.
A later post dropped the Top 25 cap. Every eligible player now gets a share of each pool they earn points in, based on their points for the week. Members share 85% and all eligible players share 15%. The first payout is set for Saturday, Oct. 24, and the top three players still win a trophy.
Cats and the token
A player’s first Cat and permit are free. Every account starts with a Starter Cat named Robin, a Common Lumberjack that can’t be sold, traded or released. Cats aren’t NFTs. They exist inside the game and trade on its own marketplace, and their output depends on Profession, Productivity, Efficiency and Traits.
The $PAWS contract is 0x3183d125610725E1b507Fc78aE5A16376609495F. A separate community memecoin on Robinhood Chain uses the same $PAWS ticker but isn’t the game token, so buyers should check the contract address.
An unofficial auto-farm bot, rygroup-dev/paws-bot, is also on GitHub. It plays the game through Telegram buttons and signs in with the player’s wallet. It isn’t affiliated with the team, and using it may break the game’s rules.
The team closed its two-week post with four words: “Thank you, Sherwood.”
