Lara Croft’s next adventure is still months away, but you can claim one of her outfits today, and it costs nothing.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is giving players The Mediterranean Wetsuit Outfit for free right now. There’s one catch: you won’t see it until the game launches on Feb. 12, 2027.
How to claim the wetsuit
It takes two steps. Create an Amazon Games iD account, then link it to Steam, PSN or Xbox, whichever one you play on.
And then you wait. Once the game is out in February, boot it up and the outfit will be ready for Lara straight away.
It’s more than a basic wetsuit. The look is a wetsuit and swimsuit combination with a tool belt and thigh holsters, plus a matching backpack and diving goggles. Lara wears her hair in a high ponytail with it.
We’ve already had glimpses of Lara’s new default look, the tank top, shorts and boots that have defined her since the start. Expect more outfits to show up as you play, the way they did across the recent Survivor Trilogy. This one is simply the first you can claim.
The second remake of the first game
Legacy of Atlantis is the second remake of the original Tomb Raider. Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog are developing it, and Amazon Game Studios is publishing.
The plot sticks with the original premise: Lara hunts for a powerful relic from the lost civilization of Atlantis. This version has a new Lara, played by Alix Wilton Regan, and the game opens a new era for the series.
It’s arriving later than first planned. Legacy of Atlantis was originally set for June 2, 2026, before the delay pushed it to February. It’s coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Catalyst is next in line
If a remake isn’t enough, a new game is coming too. Tomb Raider: Catalyst currently has a 2028 release window. Crystal Dynamics is developing it and Amazon Game Studios is publishing.
Catalyst will be the 14th main entry in the franchise and a sequel to 2008’s Tomb Raider: Underworld. It’s set in Northern India, in a region wrecked by a mythical cataclysm.
Lara won’t be the only treasure hunter there. Rivals are looking for ways to exploit the site’s power, so she’ll have to work out who to trust and stop another catastrophe before it happens.
Catalyst might get free extras of its own closer to launch, though nothing has been announced. For now, the free gear is for Legacy of Atlantis.
The timing fits. Tomb Raider is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and you can mark it by putting Lara in a wetsuit with thigh holsters three months before she goes looking for Atlantis.
