A Goodyear blimp is drifting over the eastern United States with two words painted on it: Vice City.

That’s according to posts circulating on social media, which say one of the three Goodyear blimps in use in the U.S. now carries the Vice City lettering. Rockstar Games hasn’t said anything official about it in the source material, so for now this is a social media sighting. It does look like the next stunt in the GTA 6 marketing campaign, and it’s an odd one.

“The Vice City blimp is now in the air! #GTAVI,” one widely shared post said.

From Ohio, maybe to Florida

The blimp reportedly set off from Ohio and headed for North Carolina. Florida is thought to be its next stop, though that part is an estimate, not a published flight plan.

Florida would make sense. Vice City is GTA’s version of Miami, and Miami is where most of this campaign has been happening.

A second post appears to show the blimp already there. “Stunning footage of the GTA 6 Blimp flying around Kaseya Center in Miami, with the Vice City sign lit up at night,” it said.

The Heat are part of this too

Kaseya Center is the Miami Heat’s arena, and Rockstar recently announced a partnership with the team. The Heat will turn the building into Vice City for an NBA game on Nov. 18.

The arena has already started the makeover. A big illuminated sign reading “Welcome to Vice City” sits on the roof, next to the GTA 6 logo.

Look at the dates. The Heat game is Nov. 18, and GTA 6 is expected to release on Nov. 19, 2026. So the Vice City arena night lands the evening before launch. Add a blimp circling the same building and you get a campaign that wants the actual Miami skyline to look like the game.

Somewhere over the Carolinas, a Goodyear blimp is flying around with a fictional city’s name on it.
