In Brief:

  • Farming Season (official site) said quick battles are coming to its Battle Arena: five-minute runs with unlimited attempts, where only a player’s best run counts.
  • Everyone faces the same enemies on a given day. The tweet lists goblins, skeletons, ghosts, bats, archers and the minotaur.
  • The game already runs a paid daily arena challenge on Robinhood Chain, with a $0.10 entry paid in SEASON and the top 10 players sharing 80% of the day’s entries.

Farming Season is bringing timed quick battles to its Battle Arena, the project’s official account said in a post on X.

“Quick battles are coming to the Farming Season arena: 5 minutes, unlimited tries, and only your best run counts,” @farmingseasonio said.

How a run works

Each run gives a player five minutes against the arena’s enemies. According to the post, those are “goblins, skeletons, ghosts, bats, archers and the minotaur.”

The roster is the same for everyone. “Everyone meets the same enemies that day,” the account said. The post in the source data stops at that point, so it doesn’t give the launch date, the entry cost or any prize details for the new mode.

A player can retry as often as they want, but only the best result is scored.

The existing daily challenge

The game’s official player guide at farmingseason.io/docs already describes a quick-battle format inside the arena’s daily challenge. That version runs 10 minutes, which is twice the length announced in the new post.

The guide says “each challenge run is a 10-minute quick battle with a $0.10 entry, paid in SEASON when it starts, and it costs no energy.” It describes SEASON as “the game token on Robinhood Chain.”

Prizes settle once a day. “After 00:00 UTC the top 10 share 80% of the day’s entries, and the other 20% goes to the reward pool,” the guide said.

Players can also pay for boosts during challenge runs. The guide puts the cap at “up to $0.50 a run,” with single boosts priced from $0.05 to $0.25, including health potions and damage boosts.

The post doesn’t say whether the five-minute format will replace the 10-minute challenge, run next to it, or carry the same fee and payout split. The guide hasn’t been updated to answer that either.

Standard arena rules

Outside the challenge, the regular arena has no entry fee and is paid for with energy. “Each life costs 5 energy,” the guide said.

The arena opens at Town Hall level 1. The guide lists nine regular enemy types: green slime, bat, goblin warrior, blue slime, goblin archer, goblin bomber, skeleton knight, ghost and wizard. Two bosses, the Minotaur and the Rat King, appear every five waves.

Loot from regular runs counts toward each level’s daily battle limit. “Enemies arrive at a steady pace, and each one carries loot,” the guide said, and standard runs reward “skill and survival, not grinding.”

Background

Farming Season is a pixel farming game played in the browser on Robinhood Chain. Players build farms, plant crops, raise animals, fight in the Battle Arena and join clans. Clans also compete in a weekly clan race, where the top three share prizes, according to the guide.

The paid challenge carries a real cost. Each attempt costs $0.10 in SEASON, and only the top 10 players on a given day get a share of the entry pool.
