What is Fusionist?

Fusionist is a free-to-play, turn-based sci-fi strategy game by Fusion Interactive, which both develops and publishes it. It entered Steam Early Access on 28 December 2024. Players command a squad of five mechs and build tactical setups by combining cores with mechs. Fusionist is also a Web3 project: the game sits on Endurance, its own EVM-compatible blockchain, and its token ACE trades on Binance.

How to play

Combat is turn-based, and both action order and formation placement decide fights. Each mech belongs to one of five classes with its own role: the melee Striker, the shielded Defender, the ranged Buster, the precision Sniper and the backline Support. Attacks carry one of three elements, Frozen (ice), Burn (fire) and Electric (lightning), and combining them triggers reactions such as ice-based control, fire damage over time and electric chain explosions. Squad building is about pairing classes and elements that work together.

Outside battle, players complete missions to collect resources and use them to forge and upgrade their mech squad. The game has a single-player side and online PvP, where an arena pits players against commanders from around the world. The Early Access build is a basic version: a Core upgrade system, the Exchange trading system and more PvE modes are still to come, and the latest version adds more powerful weapons and new core mechanics.

Token and chain

ACE is the gas token of the Endurance chain and is used for staking, in-game purchases and governance. Its maximum supply is 147 million. Endurance launched in January 2023 and is fully EVM-compatible. Fusionist's NFT collections, including Alpha Prestige, Quartan Primes and Bi.Mech, gain extra use through the game's Expedition system. ACE trades on Binance and was priced at about $0.135 in early November 2026.

Platforms and access

Fusionist is free on Steam for Windows 10 and 11. It supports English, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese, with full English audio. You do not need a wallet to start: download the game, play the PvE missions and move into the arena once your squad is ready.

Is Fusionist worth playing?

Fans of turn-based tactics will find a real combat system here, with class roles and elemental combos that reward planning. Steam user reviews are mixed, and several promised systems are still on the roadmap, so check the latest developer updates on Steam before you invest time or buy ACE or NFTs.
