Honeyland

What is Honeyland?

Honeyland is a casual resource-management strategy game built on Solana in which players grow a colony of bees that travels across a series of in-game "Universes" looking for a permanent home. The Hive is the central screen: it stores a player's assets and shows Honey balances, Bee and Land status, mission planning and the in-game marketplace. New accounts receive a free starter Hive containing one Training Queen and a set of Training Bees, so the game can be started without buying anything. Bees, Queens, Lands and Passes exist as tradable NFT assets, and the game is distributed as a mobile app for Android and iOS.

How to play Honeyland

Progress comes from sending bees on missions. Harvesting is the main way to earn Honey, while Hunting returns Honeypots filled with shards that can be redeemed for upgrade items, hatching materials and mission boosts. Breeding requires a Queen, a male Bee and a Honey fee; the male determines the offspring's generation, and adding Royal Jelly produces a Queen instead of a male, applying a 2.0 stat multiplier. Breeding cooldowns lengthen with each use, starting at 24 hours and rising toward 104. Matching a Queen's mood to the bees sent on a mission grants stat bonuses. PvP is handled through Raids: players assemble a three-bee Attack Squad, choose from defense squads set by players of similar Hive Level, and an algorithm resolves alternating attacks until one side runs out of health. Shields temporarily remove a hive from the PvP list. Earth is the first Universe; Cocarro adds Siege, Explore and Crafting alongside materials found nowhere else.

Honeyland tokenomics & earning

Honey is represented on-chain by HXD, a Solana token used for breeding fees, upgrades, marketplace purchases and event entry. It is earned by harvesting, winning raids and successfully defending a hive. Bees and Queens span five generations, with Genesis the rarest — Genesis stock cannot be created through gameplay and only 650 Genesis Queens exist. Each Universe carries a Breeding Cost Multiplier that increases globally with every breed, a sink intended to limit population growth. Full mechanics are documented at docs.honey.land.

Our verdict on Honeyland

Honeyland is a mobile colony-management game on Solana, playable on Android and iOS, in which you run a hive of bees rather than a squad of heroes. The loop is dispatch-and-wait: send bees on harvesting runs for Honey, send them hunting for shard-filled Honeypots, then spend the proceeds on breeding, upgrades and mission boosts. A free starter hive with a Training Queen means you can reach the core loop without buying an NFT first.

What works is the depth underneath a deliberately simple surface. Breeding is a real system — the male parent sets the offspring's generation, Royal Jelly converts the outcome to a Queen with a 2.0 stat multiplier, and cooldowns stretch from 24 hours toward 104 the more you use a Queen. Queen moods that must be matched to mission loadouts, and a global Breeding Cost Multiplier that rises with every breed, give planning genuine weight.

What does not work is the pacing and the economy around it. Raids resolve automatically once you pick a three-bee squad, so PvP is a spreadsheet outcome, not a fight; long timers make progress feel like clock-watching. Honey is the on-chain HXD token, and that market is now extremely thin, while the site's own policy documents show the brand has changed operator. Treat any earnings framing with heavy skepticism.

It suits idle-game and collection-management players who enjoy optimising breeding trees on a phone in short daily bursts. Anyone wanting action, or wanting the token side to mean something, should look elsewhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start playing Honeyland?
You sign in and follow the Welcome Pass tutorial missions, which walk you through harvesting honey and breeding bees while rewarding useful starter items. New players can begin with free Training Bees rather than buying NFTs upfront.
Do I need a crypto wallet or a special account?
No wallet is required to start — you can log in with a single tap using a Google or Apple account, since most blockchain activity is kept in the background. If you want to trade NFTs or move tokens yourself, you can connect a Solana wallet instead.
What is the in-game token and what is it used for?
The native token is $HXD, which acts as both the game's currency and a tradeable asset. It is spent on upgrading bees, breeding, improving your hive, and entering events, and it can be staked for xHXD shares that unlock special missions, priority NFT drops, and treasury voting.
How do players earn in Honeyland?
You send bees on harvesting missions to collect Honey, the primary in-game currency, which can be converted into $HXD, and on hunting missions that yield Honeypots containing redeemable shards. Land and bee NFT owners can also earn passively through commissions when other players harvest or hunt on their land, weekly shard drops, and renting out bees.
Is Honeyland still active and worth playing?
Yes — the game is live and available worldwide, with ongoing events, PvP raids, breeding, and marketplace activity. It suits players who enjoy resource-management strategy and want optional true ownership of assets, but token and NFT values fluctuate, so earnings are never guaranteed and it should not be treated as an investment.
