Metahorse Unity
What is Metahorse Unity?
Metahorse Unity is a horse-racing role-playing game built by Hungri Games, a Turkish studio that has been shipping mobile RPGs since 2019 rather than a crypto-native team that arrived with the last cycle. The pitch is that horses are not just racing stats but characters you raise: every horse is an NFT with its own attributes, and the RPG layer sits around training, breeding and campaigning it rather than around a single race result. It is one of three linked titles in the same world — Stutengarden, a horse-catching RPG; Metahorse Unity, the racing game itself; and M-Deed, a horse-farm trading game — with assets designed to move between them. The game originally built on Polygon and migrated to Base, Coinbase's layer 2, in January 2025 for cheaper and faster transactions.
How to play Metahorse Unity
The game is mobile-first, so the practical route in is the app plus a wallet on Base. Play revolves around three activities that feed each other: racing horses to earn and to build a record, breeding to produce foals that inherit traits from their parents, and trading horses on the market when a bloodline is worth more to someone else than to you. Because it is structured as an RPG rather than a pure racing sim, horses improve through care and progression over time, which rewards holding and developing an animal instead of flipping it. Players already inside the ecosystem can move between the sibling titles, catching horses in Stutengarden or running a farm in M-Deed with the same assets.
Metahorse Unity tokenomics & earning
The ecosystem token is MUNITY, and the in-game assets — the horses above all — are NFTs on Base. Earning comes from two directions: race performance, which pays out from the competitive side of the game, and the breeding market, where a horse with a desirable bloodline is worth more than the sum of its races. That second route is the one most players actually monetise, and it depends entirely on there being buyers, which is the usual honest caveat for any breeding economy. Entry requires owning at least one horse, so this is not a free-to-start title. Check the project's own documentation for current token terms before buying in.
Free-to-earn mechanics let players earn without an upfront purchase
MMO format supports a large shared player base
Built on Polygon for low transaction fees and fast confirmations
Made by an established studio, Hungri Games
Very little public information beyond a one-line description
Polygon-only, so no access for players on other chains
Horse racing RPG is a narrow theme that won't appeal to every player
Play-to-earn economies depend on token demand that may not hold up
Our verdict on Metahorse Unity
Metahorse Unity is a horse-racing RPG built on Polygon and listed as an MMO, developed by Hungri Games. Its pitch is a play-to-earn racing loop paired with free-to-earn mechanics, meaning the intended entry point does not require buying an asset before you can start competing for rewards.
What works, at least on paper, is the pairing of genre and chain. Horse racing is a naturally session-based, repeatable format — short events, breeding and stable-management systems, ladder progression — and that repetition suits a low-fee chain like Polygon, where entry fees, purses, and asset transfers do not get eaten by gas. The free-to-earn angle also addresses the most common barrier in this category, where a starter NFT can cost more than a full-price console game.
What does not work is how little is publicly pinned down. There is no stated official website or documentation in the listing, no visible detail on how earnings are funded or what the token sink looks like, and no clarity on where the free tier ends and paid ownership begins. In a P2E racer, those are the mechanics that determine whether the economy holds.
It is for players drawn to breeding-and-racing management loops who are willing to research the token model themselves before committing.
