What is BLOCKLORDS?

BLOCKLORDS is a medieval grand strategy game built around a Hero you own and steer through a long life — farming, fighting, managing resources and ultimately ruling — in a world whose shape is meant to come out of what its players do rather than a scripted campaign. It is made by MetaKing Studios, has been in development since 2018, and is free to play on Steam and the Epic Games Store. ⚠️ Note that the studio's own domain now hosts a separate AI product, so Steam is the reliable route to the game: BLOCKLORDS on Steam.

How to play BLOCKLORDS

You begin with a Hero and choose what that Hero becomes. The playstyles are deliberately different from one another: farming and production build an economy, combat wins territory, and the political layer is about holding land and influencing the world once you have it. Progress passes down a lineage rather than accruing to one immortal character, which is the mechanic that gives the game its long arc. Groups matter — organised players control territory that solo ones cannot — and the strategic map is shared, so what other people do changes your position.

BLOCKLORDS tokenomics & earning

LRDS is the game's token, earned through play and spent on Influence, which lets holders affect the game's development and lore and unlock items such as exclusive Heroes and resource packs. The project raised from a long list of well-known games and crypto investors, which tells you about its funding rather than about its quality. On earning, the honest note is that this is a slow strategy game: rewards accrue to sustained, organised play over months, not to casual sessions, and player reviews on Steam have been mixed.
