HYTOPIA has released the public browser alpha of WORLDS, marking a return to its foundational concept from NFT Worlds WRLD $0.0001397 ▲ +4.2%. Players can access the game at worldsalpha.com.
“This is a return to our roots,” the team wrote. They initially aimed to establish a platform for other games but shifted back to developing their own project after acknowledging the prior direction wasn’t successful.
WORLDS features an exploration and crafting RPG. Players can build and store items in their home, undertake expeditions, and gather resources. The game incorporates a guide and caravan for accessing different expeditions with varying risk and reward.
The alpha release addresses gameplay dynamics, clarifying penalties for early returns from expeditions and improving management of disconnects and party interactions.
Exploration and crafting systems
The patch notes detail diverse environments beyond traditional block structures, including caves, underwater locations, and ancient ruins. Players face locked treasures that require overcoming enemies or challenges to access.
