Steam lists Aurory as both developer and publisher. The store page calls the game “A creature-collecting extraction RPG where every expedition is a risk. Charm wild Amiko and fight alongside them across an untamed world shaped by your actions.”

What’s in the demo

The free demo went live Oct. 7, before Next Fest started. It’s only up for a limited time, and progress won’t carry over to the full game because the team is still optimizing parts of the progression system.

Players catch wild creatures called Amiko, build a team and head out on expeditions for resources. Loot only stays with you if you extract safely. There’s PvE combat against NPCs, and the demo includes a PvP mode.

A co-op PvE mode is in development, according to the studio’s Steam Q&A.

Aurory pitches the game as “Pokémon meets ARC Raiders.”

Changes since the closed beta

The closed beta ran from June 16 to July 21. When it ended, the team promised a better start for new players, new story quests, more Amiko and new bosses. It also said an open beta could come before Early Access.

The biggest change in the demo is how it starts. “One of the biggest things we learned during the June Closed Beta was that we needed to do a better job of introducing players to Amiko Legends and its mechanics,” Aurory said in its Steam patch notes. The new opening walks players through lore, combat, charming and extracting.

“Finally, your Avatar can now jump,” the notes said. The demo’s first biome was rebuilt around that, with new areas, traversal routes and treasures you can only reach by exploring vertically.

Aurory also said it expanded Amiko progression, added single-player challenges, improved Blitz battles and fixed bugs.

Limits and platforms

The demo is English only. It doesn’t support Steam Deck or gamepads.

Gamepad support will come with the full game. Steam Deck support is “planned within the first year after the full game’s release,” a developer posting as tim said in the Steam Q&A.

The full game will launch in English, Chinese and French, with German, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish to follow. The team is focused on PC for now, though “other platforms” may be considered later, tim said.

Minimum specs on Steam are Windows 11 64-bit, an Intel i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 8GB of RAM, a GTX 1070 or RX 5600 XT and 15GB of storage.

Pricing and release

Aurory is aiming for Early Access by the end of 2026. Amiko Legends will be “a one-time-purchase premium game on Steam,” tim said. Pricing hasn’t been set.

The Steam page has no blockchain or NFT disclosures. A game called Amiko is listed on the Epic Games Store as an Early Access title, and that listing includes notices about blockchain and NFTs along with account creation tied to a Solana wallet. How that earlier release relates to the Steam version, and whether any of those features carry over, hasn’t been confirmed.

The game was called Seekers of Tokane until October 2025, when it was renamed Amiko Legends.

In the Steam Q&A, the studio said “All visuals, characters, creatures, environment and art” in the game were made by people, with no generative AI.
