PARTY ICONS

PARTY ICONS

What is PARTY ICONS?

PARTY ICONS is an extraction shooter built around an unusual idea: you do not do the shooting. The game runs what its developers call a Loot-Shoot-Extract and EKKO AI dual-core system, in which the player takes the role of a Commander and an AI agent — the EKKO Marauder — carries out the battlefield execution. The stated aim is to strip out the skill gap and the stress of twitch gunplay so that anyone can drop into a raid, while keeping the tension that makes extraction shooters work.

How to play PARTY ICONS

As Commander you handle the parts of a raid that are decisions rather than reflexes: tactical planning, intelligence gathering, choosing what to go after, and — the moment that decides most extraction runs — timing your extraction before it is too late. Your EKKO Agent fights on your behalf according to that plan. It is a genuine inversion of the genre: in most extraction shooters aim is the ceiling, and here the ceiling is judgement.

PARTY ICONS' community and collections

The project grew out of an NFT community rather than a studio slate. OGX̅ holders are its original founding community and keep OGX̅-only experiences and access within the wider PARTY ICONS ecosystem. Around the game the team describes a broader ambition — a destination theme park for the metaverse generation — and lists backers across Hong Kong, Taipei, New York and Frankfurt.

Our verdict on PARTY ICONS

Despite a name that suggests a collectibles swap-meet, Party Icons is a free-to-play party royale for mobile and PC. Players land on a hub island, Miragio, and drop into modes such as Party Heist, Party Brawl and Carnival Clash, with dozens of short mini-games feeding large elimination brackets and small team fights. The pitch is breadth: many quick formats stitched into one social lobby rather than a single ruleset played deeply.

The interesting idea is not the token but the audience. Its Ethereum-side OGX collection is a small set whose headline utility, God Mode, lets holders interfere with matches in progress — dropping loot, opening portals, seeding hazards. That turns spectators into a live weather system instead of another staking screen, which is a genuinely unusual use of ownership.

It is also the main problem. Paid interference sits badly with competitive fairness, and a roster of forty-odd mini-games invites shallowness. The project has spent a long stretch in closed testing, and its wallet and login plumbing lean on a different chain from the one the collection lives on, which muddies the story for newcomers.

Best suited to players who want loud, short sessions with friends. Anyone after a serious ladder, or a reliable earner, should look elsewhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start playing PARTY ICONS?
Download the client for your device from the official Party Icons website, then create an account and sign in. During its test phases the game has been distributed as a direct client download rather than through the usual app stores.
Do I need a crypto wallet to play?
You can log in with a supported wallet such as Ronin, MetaMask or OKX to link your in-game items and NFTs to your account. A wallet is what connects your on-chain assets to the game, so you need one if you want to hold or trade them.
How do players earn in PARTY ICONS?
Players earn through gameplay by collecting the in-game resource Mirble and by completing tasks and events that award points during beta phases. In the announced beta seasons, those points and event placements fed prize pools and future token rewards rather than paying out instantly.
What is the PARTY token?
$PARTY is the project's governance token, described by the team as giving holders voting power and access to exclusive in-game events. Mirble is the separate utility resource used for in-game purchases and unlocking Partyboxes.
Is PARTY ICONS still active?
The game has run a series of closed beta tests, with the third beta season and its X League event taking place in mid-2025 alongside a prize pool worth over $100,000. Check the official website and the team's social channels for the current test phase and release status before downloading.
