The Sandbox, a well-known user-generated content (UGC) platform operating on blockchain technology, is ushering in a series of innovative upgrades under the leadership of their new CEO, Robby Yung. The strategic vision, labeled as “3.0 Vision,” aims to enhance the creation and distribution tools available to the platform’s users.
As part of its new monetization infrastructure, The Sandbox plans to introduce SANDchain, which will be prominently featured at the Token2049 conference in Singapore on October 1. Yung describes SANDchain as “a cross-platform, dedicated layer for creators to bridge engagement into ownership and rewards.” This system will use token bonding curve mechanics to enhance monetization opportunities for creators.
Alongside the SANDchain, Yung detailed the use of AI-based tools which will allow creators to develop superior assets more efficiently. These tools will apply custom AI models trained on The Sandbox’s existing database of 1.7 million 3D assets. The aim is to make these tools accessible both within The Sandbox environment and through third-party platforms.
Further on, there will be additional benefits for SAND token holders, likely involving passive rewards as suggested by Yung.
