OverKnights

OverKnights is a free-to-play PvP card battler built around a customisable Robotic Warrior and a deck of Command Cards, with its assets running on Immutable X. The framing is a climb: you play a Pilot ascending the floors of the Libra Tower, duelling other players rather than grinding through scripted content. Despite being filed alongside MMORPG and strategy listings, the core loop described by the developer is duel-shaped — build a robot, build a deck, and out-think the person opposite you.

The interesting part is the two-layer build. Swappable robot parts sit on top of deck-building, so a deck is only half your loadout and the same cards can behave differently depending on the chassis carrying them. That gives the game more room for personal expression than a cards-only battler, and it makes matches a read on your opponent's configuration as much as their hand.

What is harder to judge from the outside is the depth beneath that promise: the studio has not published details of its economy, progression pace, or how tightly the Immutable X ownership layer is bound to competitive play, and the developer behind it is not named. An "ever-evolving combat system" also implies balance changes you will need to keep up with.

It is aimed at players who enjoy deck-building and loadout tinkering in short PvP sessions, and who are comfortable with an on-chain asset layer. Anyone wanting a story-led or co-operative RPG should look elsewhere.
