G-SHOCK Sky Race competition opens to avatar holders

The Sandbox launched its Sky Race competition exclusively for G-SHOCK DROID Avatar owners. Participants need to enter The Sandbox, race through the Sky Race experience, and submit a screenshot of their result screen by April 22. Only verified times will count toward the leaderboard.

Prize distribution

The top ten verified times will each win 100 $SAND. Additionally, prizes include 46 G-SHOCK DROID Avatars divided into three tiers: 25 Common, 15 Uncommon, and six Rare. Prize rarity correlates with access to exclusive rewards within The Sandbox ecosystem.

G-SHOCK DROID Avatar Collection

Launched on September 3, 2025, the G-SHOCK DROID Collection features playable NFTs inspired by five iconic G-SHOCK models: the DW-5600, DW-6900, GA-110, GA-2100, and GA-V01. The collection includes five rarity tiers, with mint prices ranging from 19 $SAND to 399 $SAND. Each avatar unlocks a one-time bonus of 150 Ethos Points (EP).

G-SHOCK City experience

Central to the collaboration is G-SHOCK City, a virtual world in The Sandbox where players can explore the G-SHOCK brand history and participate in survival races inspired by the brand’s durability testing. The Sky Race competition incorporates this theme, rewarding participants in $SAND and through avatar NFTs.
