Fenrath’s introduction
RavenQuest launched its latest boss, Fenrath, the Master of the Hunt, which brings a dynamic mechanic to encounters with its rotating Aspect system. This system changes how the Hunter’s Mark ability interacts with players, enhancing the complexity of boss fights.
The mechanics at play
Fenrath utilizes a core mechanic called Apex Hunter, which applies stacking Hunter’s Marks. Players must adapt their strategy as Fenrath cycles through four distinct Aspects, each significantly altering the implications of these Marks on combat.
When Fenrath reaches the Spirit Hunter phase, he splits into four spirits. The surviving Aspects set the stage for his subsequent attack sequence, ramping up unpredictability during battles.
New rewards and cosmetics
As part of the encounter, players can earn an array of Renown-priced rewards. These include the trading-enabled Master of the Hunt Trophy, which in its base form costs 500 Renown and grants a permanent Dexterity bonus of 4 percent when displayed in a player’s home. An enchanted version is available for 1,000 Renown.
Other new cosmetics include the Wild Hunt Moa Armor and the Wild Hunt Wagon, both priced at 2,000 Renown, alongside the Tree of Life Sapling decoration for 1,000 Renown and the Wild Hunt Banner at 750 Renown. Players can also obtain Fenrath’s Primal Mantle, enhancing Bounty Marks earned from Rangers Company Tasks by 20 percent.
Upcoming content
In addition to Fenrath, RavenQuest announced the arrival of its third Tyrant Teaser, featuring a character named The Mad Scientist, set for release next week.
As RavenQuest continues to evolve its offerings, players can expect shifts in gameplay that challenge traditional strategies, keeping encounters fresh and engaging.
