Axie Infinity launches Terrariums V1
Axie Infinity is set to launch Terrariums V1 on June 17, introducing a new earning system that replaces its current Homeland feature. This update allows land owners to earn bAXS by activating plots, using Lunium, and assigning axies hourly.
The earning model shifts from fixed rewards to a pool-based approach. Players will receive bAXS based on their share of Atia’s Flame, which quantifies axie power, rather than a consistent payout per plot. This means players’ earnings could vary with the overall performance of their plot category.
Effective June 17, Homeland will cease operations entirely. Any progress, including delegated contracts, will not carry over to Terrariums. Players need to claim any remaining rewards in Homeland by 3 PM Philippine time on the same day.
Key features of Terrariums V1
Terrariums V1 supports a maximum of 30 axies per plot. The value of Atia’s Flame differs according to axie rarity. Local Lunium will regenerate over five days on each designated plot and is usable exclusively on that plot, while global Lunium can be purchased across plots.
Global Lunium starts at $0.99 for 25,000 units, with players able to use bAXS, AXS, USDC, or WETH for purchases. The earnings model also includes a switch to earning AXP if Lunium runs out, maintaining some level of activity on plots.
This update signifies a shift in Axie Infinity’s approach, potentially impacting how players interact with their land and assets going forward. The announcement emphasizes a streamlined focus on rewarding active engagement and strategic management of resources.
