In Brief:
- Sky Mavis opened a migration tool for Lunacian badges and bAXS, the two asset classes Waypoint holders couldn’t move on their own.
- Ronin Waypoint becomes Ronin Stash on Sept. 16, and anything left in a Waypoint wallet after that date is lost.
- Badges and bAXS are soulbound, so a normal transfer was never possible, which is why both were listed as unresolved when Ronin announced the switch in June.
The tool Waypoint holders had been waiting on is live. Axie Infinity said a migration path for badges and bAXS is now open, closing the last gap in a wallet transition that wipes out anything left behind after Sept. 16.
“Move your badges and bAXS before Ronin Waypoint closes,” the Axie Infinity account said in the post announcing the tool. “Anything left in a Waypoint wallet after that date is gone forever.”

Waypoint becomes Ronin Stash on that date. Stash is a keyless wallet built on Privy, with free accounts created through email or social login. The original Ronin Wallet stays available for seed phrase self-custody.
Why these two assets needed a tool
Most badges are dynamic and follow ownership of an underlying asset. But a handful are non-transferable ERC-1155 tokens bound to the wallet that minted them, including the AxieCon and Axie Contributor badges from the original release.
bAXS has the same constraint. It’s bonded to the account that earned it, usable for Axie Core features in place of AXS at a 1:1 rate and convertible to AXS at a rate set by a holder’s Axie Score. Every bAXS is backed 1:1 by AXS in a smart contract, and the AXS is released when the bAXS is burned.
When Ronin announced the rebrand in June, both were open items. The badge portal was promised “in the coming weeks,” and Sky Mavis said a bAXS solution was “actively being developed.” Sky Mavis has said badges and Axie Score will transfer whether a user moves to a Stash account or a seed phrase wallet.
What still won’t move
Atia’s Blessing streaks don’t carry over. The streak is tied by smart contract to the address that activated it, and Sky Mavis said the on-chain mechanic makes it non-transferable.
Fortune Slips can’t be moved either, and Sky Mavis recommends users consume all of them before starting migration. Lunium, the off-chain Terrariums resource, is also non-transferable, with the same guidance to buy only what can be spent before migrating.
Axie Classic and Origins progression remains unresolved. Sky Mavis said its engineering team is still working through the approach and evaluating edge cases.
Nothing happens automatically
There is no automatic migration for tokens and NFTs. Waypoint holders have to move assets manually to a Stash account or a seed phrase wallet through the portal at wallet.roninchain.com/app/migrating.
Users who aren’t sure whether they’re affected can log into waypoint.roninchain.com/dashboard/wallet and check whether their wallet appears under Social Login Wallet or Keyless. Anyone using only a traditional seed phrase wallet doesn’t need to do anything. Ronin said it’s sending email reminders and push notifications to affected users through the window.
Waypoint launched in 2024 as a universal account and keyless wallet for the Ronin ecosystem, using multi-party computation that split a private key into two or more shards. Ronin said it built Waypoint before onboarding infrastructure like Privy was mature and battle-tested, and that moving to Stash lets it optimize first-time user experience.
bAXS arrived in January and replaced tradable AXS as the primary in-game reward, built as an ERC20-C AppToken on Limit Break’s protocol. Axie Classic rewards switched over on April 7.
Ronin defended the 90-day window by arguing that maintaining legacy infrastructure indefinitely raises development costs and fragments the network, and that 90 days is ample time for active users to transition.
