In Brief:
- Wilder World (official site) co-founder Frank Wilder said the studio’s next priority is improving Wiami’s fight-risk-extract loop and moving it fully onchain after Season Zero.
- The Rebirth roadmap, built around five core milestones and five expansions, remains what the team calls its source of truth.
- Season Zero gear has changed hands off-chain through the Satin Passage, with onchain integration planned for the end of the season.
Wilder World’s development focus is shifting from building Wiami’s core gameplay loop to putting that loop on a chain.
“Season Zero gave us the foundation and a clear loop: enter Wiami, fight, risk and extract,” said Frank Wilder, co-founder of Wilder World, in a post on X. “Now the focus is making that loop significantly better and bringing it fully onchain.”

“The Rebirth roadmap remains the source of truth,” he said, before running through three of its five major items.
The gap between play and ownership
Season Zero: The Invasion opened in late June and gave Wiami its first structured gameplay. Players fend off invading forces, extract MILD and gather Shards at the EZK Neural Station, with the option to stash items in City Storage in Agora Alley rather than risk them in high-threat areas.
The economy underneath it, though, has been provisional. Season Zero gear is off-chain, with onchain integration planned for the end of the season. The Satin Passage, Wiami’s in-game market for listing, buying and selling that gear for MILD, launched off-chain too, with plans to move onchain over time.
That’s the distance Wilder is describing. The loop works. Ownership of what comes out of it doesn’t fully settle onchain yet.
What Rebirth commits to
The Rebirth roadmap frames the project as one city built in stages. “One city. Five core milestones. Five key expansions. Every system feeds the next,” the roadmap reads, adding that Wiami “is being built the way a real city grows.” The five expansions cover creation, scarcity, identity, commerce and reach.
Shards sit at the center. The roadmap describes them as the core resource class of Wiami, onchain assets tradeable on the marketplace and materializable into gear, contested by everyone in the city. Earning loot requires skill, survival and making it back alive.
Extraction is meant to close the circuit at the Neural Station: bring Shards, spend a small amount of WILD and pull onchain gear out of Wilder Packs. Scavenging feeds inventory, inventory feeds extraction, extraction feeds ownership.
The economic layer is Metropolis. WILD is the primary in-game currency, used for gear, consumables, services, extraction fees and premium content. Pack sales route 100% of revenue into WILD buybacks, with 2.5% burned and the rest redistributed to stakers. Marketplace trades carry a 2.5% fee that’s burned in full.
Wilder NFT collections are also slated to become playable, with implementations in development across Wheels, Moto, Craft, Beasts, Kicks, GENs, Wilder Cribs and the Lamborghini Temerario. Avatars are positioned as canonical onchain identity. A Steam release would put the game in front of Steam’s 130 million-plus monthly users.
The roadmap page carries its own caveat: everything on it is in active development, and timelines, features and priorities may shift.
Recent builds
Version one of the Garage went live Aug. 15, a private area where the Wheel a player picks from the main menu appears. Game Release 0.11.1 followed with stability work across the Garage, Packs and notification flows, restored collision in traffic and park areas, working teleporters and tighter vehicle handling. Vehicle metadata still renders only the original full body pattern in wallets and web3 collections.
An earlier update added gear degradation tied to damage taken, stat modifiers on armor, weapons and attachments, faster FORUM reactions and dropped backpacks visible on the map with their contents up for grabs. Wilder said the next one brings gear color mods, personal garages and deeper loadout control.
Marketplace activity runs through the ZERO wallet with no gas fees. Z Chain, the dedicated chain the team is building to cut its Ethereum dependence, is specced for more than 100,000 TPS and sub-400ms block times. Wiami.fun, an AI creator platform, is due to launch with weapon skins issued as ERC-20 tokens on Z Chain, priced in WILD on a bonding curve.
The Wilder World account shared the update with a line of its own: “Fade the Wilders, Fade Destiny.”
