S19 launches with bAXS rewards
Axie Infinity has launched Origins S19, marking a significant update in their competitive gaming structure. For this season, a total prize pool of 80,000 bAXS will be distributed among the top 2,000 players, with 20,000 bAXS allocated for the Rare Era alone.
This season officially adopts bAXS, a non-transferable utility token backed 1:1 by AXS, as the primary reward currency. Unlike AXS, bAXS cannot be transferred, promoting economic value retention within the Axie ecosystem. Players can utilize bAXS for breeding and staking, while converting it back to AXS incurs scaled Treasury fees based on their Axie Score. This model rewards long-term dedication over short-term gameplay.
New era schedule
The competitive schedule for S19 is as follows:
- September 30: Rare Era
- October 14: Epic Era
- October 28: Mystic Era
- November 11: Final Era
- November 25: S19 Ends
In addition to standard rewards, players holding collectible Axies and achieving Tiger rank or higher in the Rare Era can earn collectible chests. These chests contain tickets redeemable for a share of the 10,000 bAXS prize pool.
Maintaining fairness
Axie Infinity emphasizes competitive integrity this season, implementing measures to ensure legitimate rankings. Era rewards will be withheld until verification checks are complete to foster trust in the leaderboard standings. Multi-accounting and leaderboard manipulation will be strictly penalized with permanent bans.
