What is Cross The Ages?

Cross The Ages is a mobile-first collectible card game, described by its makers as set in "a dystopian clash of worlds" and built on seven fantasy and science fiction novels. The card game is one part of a wider transmedia project that also takes in books, animation and physical collectibles, and the studio frames the whole thing as a value cycle running from mobile play to desktop play and finally to printed collectible cards you can hold. That literary backbone is unusual: the cards are illustrations from a written universe rather than decoration applied afterwards.

How a match is played

You bring a deck of exactly 20 cards, and both players share a single 4x4 grid with no restriction on which cell you may use. Placing a card next to another triggers an automatic, simultaneous attack, and winning that exchange takes ownership of the opposing card — so, as the rules put it, "the opponent can use your own cards against you and vice-versa by capturing them." The goal is not to kill an enemy hero. Once the grid is full, whoever controls more cards on the board wins; a player can also lose by running their clock down to zero. It is a game about territory and timing rather than attrition.

Cards, elements and the token

Three kinds of card do the work. Battle cards capture and defend, field cards sit outside the grid and modify the board without occupying a cell, and a Leader Card supplies a special effect for the deck. Every card belongs to one of seven elements — nature, earth, fire, water, air, darkness and light — which is the axis most deck-building decisions turn on. The project's own CTA token is listed on both Ethereum and Solana, and the game is free to start.
