In Brief:
- VALOFE launched AVA RE:BIRTH, its PC FPS spin-off of Alliance of Valiant Arms, on Oct. 28 across Japan, Thailand, Brazil, North America and Europe.
- The launch adds Hunting Field, a PvPvE extraction mode, to the class-based team play of the original AVA.
- The original game shut down on the same day, and OneChain promoted the launch, having run an AVA RE:BIRTH pre-registration challenge on its ONEquest platform.
AVA RE:BIRTH is live. VALOFE started its overseas service on Oct. 28 (KST). It’s co-publishing the free-to-play PC shooter with NEXUS, and it’s available through Pmang and VFUN.
The launch landed on the day the original Alliance of Valiant Arms went dark. In Japan, that game had been running since Dec. 1, 2008.

Official launch announcement:
OneChain announced the release on X. “AVA RE:BIRTH is live,” the @ONEchain_game account posted. “The PC FPS brings class-based team play and the new Hunting Field mode.”
Pre-registration numbers
VALOFE said pre-registrations rose from 200,000 to 350,000 after it announced the launch date on Oct. 23. Pre-downloads opened that same day.
Japanese operator G・O・P put its count above 500,000. It opened service in Japan at 18:30 local time on Oct. 28, and to mark the milestone it’s giving every player rewards that include the limited Dark Hunter weapon series.
“Thanks to the interest and feedback sent by players from the CBT through pre-registration, we were able to welcome our official launch,” a VALOFE official said. The official added, “We will continue to deliver updates by communicating with players.”
Hunting Field
The headline addition is Hunting Field, which VALOFE first showed on Aug. 28 as exclusive to AVA RE:BIRTH. The goal is to go in, collect supplies and get out alive.
Players share the field with AI enemy soldiers and other squads. Everyone fights over loot while trying to extract. Gear recovered in Hunting Field carries over to the game’s other modes.
The mode reworks familiar maps from the original, including the series’ urban and desert areas. Since the beta, VALOFE has adjusted enemy difficulty, spawn points and AI behavior, along with controls and weapon response.
Launch events include a higher drop rate in Hunting Field, daily present codes, limited quests and a battle pass called RE:BIRTH.
What shipped and what’s next
The original’s three classes remain: Pointman, Rifleman and Sniper. Launch also brings player-to-player item trading, a new game mode, custom rooms where players set the match rules, and server selection.
Players can earn equipment through gameplay and missions. VALOFE said it refined the combat controls based on feedback from its closed beta, which began Oct. 1. Recruitment opened with 2,000 slots, and the test later grew to 5,000 participants.
Clans aren’t in yet. A winter update is scheduled to add clan battles, tournaments and a cost system. Each weapon and piece of armor gets a cost value, and loadouts have a total cap, so the strongest gear alone won’t decide a match.
OneChain tie-in
OneChain’s ONEquest reward platform ran an “AVA RE:BIRTH. Pre-Register Challenge” ahead of launch.
Neither VALOFE nor its launch materials have described tokens, NFTs or onchain items inside the game itself.
Background
AVA RE:BIRTH is a spin-off that VALOFE developed on its own after licensing the Alliance of Valiant Arms IP from NEOWIZ. VALOFE announced the project on Aug. 6 and revealed the title later, with a fall 2026 release window.
On Aug. 26, operators of the original game announced it would close on Oct. 28. In Japan, the original AVA peaked at 70,000 matches a day and drew more than 2.8 million players in total.
