The game will open in pre-launch form. The team hasn’t given a specific release date beyond next week.
Monetization and the burn
The team said Samurai Task Force is “100% Free to Play: Optional in-game items and a Founder’s Pack for those who want to support us.”
The post didn’t list prices or contents for the in-game items or the Founder’s Pack.
The team also tied the launch to the token. “First $1000 income will get burned in $KATA,” it said. The post didn’t say how the burn will be carried out or when.
What’s still unclear
The post describes the game as “An idle battler with” before cutting off. It doesn’t give the rest of the gameplay description, the platforms or how $KATA will be used inside the game.
A web search turned up no other public material on Samurai Task Force, so the X post is the only source on the game for now.
The team didn’t name the other nine titles or give a timeline for them.
The flagship game
Samurai Task Force is a different genre from Katana Inu, the project’s main title. ChainVision Games develops and publishes Katana Inu, a free-to-play third-person PvP action game built on sword combat, with 1v1, 3v3, free-for-all and battle royale modes.
Katana Inu entered Early Access on Steam on Oct. 22, according to its store page. The Steam listing says there’s no pay-to-win and makes no mention of crypto, tokens or NFTs.
The project’s official site says the Steam build is the standard version of the game. A separate Katana Inu Launcher turns on the web3 features and $KATA token functions.
The site says players who hold $KATA and NFTs in the launcher version can level up, track their stats and progress and earn $KATA back based on time played and skill. Holding the token also brings tier rewards and season perks, and the developers said all skins are cosmetic only.
ChainVision opened a Katana Inu beta to all PC players on June 30, 2025. A Steam demo ran from April 14 to May 10, 2026. Console and mobile versions of the flagship game are planned.
Each sale of the Samurai Task Force Founder’s Pack counts toward the first $1,000 that the team said will go to the $KATA burn.
