Our verdict on Fortitude
Fortitude is a medieval-fantasy base defence game from Seoul studio Skeinglobe, published under Gala's banner and built around GalaChain assets. You settle a plot on a continent called Death Roar, raise a Town Hall, Summoner's Tent, Mana Well and cannons, then farm Gold, Mana Stones and Blood Stones to summon defenders and repel raids. The hook is social rather than tactical: a Clan is itself an NFT, its owner becomes a King, and ordinary Lords must serve or own one to enter battle at all. Kings take a cut of the tokens their vassals earn, and a rarer Clan deed pays a bigger bonus to everyone under it.
What works is the shape of that idea — a feudal pyramid that turns guild management into the real game, with three weekly village missions keeping the base loop honest. What does not work is delivery. The project was renamed from Fortified over a licensing conflict, ran an alpha that closed in late 2022, sold Clan and Tower deeds that were still waiting on a launch two years later, and has gone quiet since. Treat it as a lapsed asset holder's curiosity, not a game to pick up and play.
