Pirates of the Arrland
What is Pirates of the Arrland?
Pirates of the Arrland is a blockchain-based MOBA strategy game developed by Anfata Games, a Polish studio. The game combines multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) mechanics with economic strategy gameplay, set in a pirate-themed metaverse called the Arrland archipelago. Every in-game asset—ships, pirate captains, islands, and resources—is minted as an NFT on the blockchain, ensuring players have true ownership and the ability to trade their possessions freely.
How to play Pirates of the Arrland
Players assume the role of pirate captains exploring the Arrland seas to discover treasure, occupy islands, and battle rival players. The game features PvP combat, resource management, and quest completion across an open-world environment. Success depends on strategic island management, fleet assembly, and tactical engagement with other players in real-time battles.
Pirates of the Arrland tokenomics & earning
The game operates on a play-to-earn model using ARR, its native cryptocurrency. Players earn ARR tokens by winning battles, completing quests, managing islands, and participating in the game's economy. These tokens can be traded on cryptocurrency exchanges, converting in-game earnings into real-world value. Blockchain technology ensures transparent and secure transactions for all player assets and currency exchanges.

Our verdict on Pirates of the Arrland
Pirates of the Arrland is better understood as a pirate-themed economy with games attached than as a single finished title. Anfata Games, a Polish studio, has built it in pieces: a Unity-based battle arena with distinct pirate classes, a strategic world map where crews sail the archipelago and raid rival islands, and a private-island mode that plugs into a player-run trade network. The on-chain side is split — the collectible layer of Genesis Pirates, ships, items and islands sits in the Ethereum orbit with Immutable X used to sidestep gas, while the in-game currencies $RUM and $ARRC run on Polygon.
What works is that the door is no longer paywalled: connecting a wallet and registering grants a basic character, and lightweight Telegram missions give casual players something to do without a 3D client. The asset design also interlocks properly, with islands, crews and crafting feeding one another rather than existing as unrelated mint events.
What does not work is the pace and the shape. The headline modes have stayed in early access long after the first collections sold, and spreading assets across two chains and several clients makes it harder to reason about what you actually own. It fits collectors already holding Arrland NFTs and people who enjoy watching a project assemble itself; anyone wanting a settled game should wait.
