TCG World

Despite the initials, TCG World is not a trading card game. It is a downloadable 3D open-world metaverse in which the primary object of ownership is land: plots sold as NFTs across a map the project marketed at roughly 800 square kilometres, alongside avatars, vehicles and pets that are also minted as tokens. Rewards flow in TCGCoin 2.0, the ecosystem's own currency, which began life on BNB Chain and is bridged one-to-one across the other chains listed here rather than existing natively on each.

What works is the ambition of the land layer. Plots are genuinely customisable — owners have built galleries, venues and themed spaces — and the property registry is on-chain, so a parcel is transferable without asking permission from a storefront. What does not work is the gap between that real estate and anything to do inside it. The loop rewards holding and developing land far more than playing, and the world is large enough that emptiness is the default experience. Publicly visible development updates have also thinned considerably since early 2024.

It suits landowners and world-builders willing to make their own fun, not players looking for a game with objectives.
