What is Revomon?

Revomon is a monster-catching role-playing game set in an online open world. The official site calls it a new generation of monster-catching metaverse. Players explore more than ten regions and can catch over 320 creatures, among them Sharble, a Water type, plus Sproutkin, Burnabit, Beatbark, Maraudo, Sizzlebun, Groveking, Capfin and Pyroker.

How to play

The loop is exploration and collection. Players travel through the regions of the open world, find creatures and catch them to build up their roster. Caught creatures can be turned into tradable collectibles, which lets players swap or trade them with others. The site does not describe the battle system, progression or modes in detail, so those specifics are not covered here. Access runs through a dApp sign-in at app.revomon.io.

Platforms and history

Revomon started in virtual reality. According to the site, that first VR version passed 200,000 downloads. The team now says the game launches on mobile, without giving a date or confirming that the mobile version is out. The site does not name a blockchain or a game token. BNB Chain and Immutable appear among its partner logos, next to Gate.io Labs, DMCC, SideQuest, Bluezilla, the Blockchain Game Alliance and Coinstore, but the page does not explain those relationships. The small team includes a projects manager, a game director and co-founder, a developer, a designer, a community manager and an audio director.
